So we attended a local call out this week for a fault on an intruder alarm system. Another company wanted to charge them £160 just to attend. That’s a ridiculous amount of money to charge someone just to turn up, then to diagnose the fault on top of the £160.

We arrived, diagnosed the problem, fixed the problem and charged this customer nothing. That’s right we charged them nothing ! Some times showing the customer that not everyone is out here to rip people off in this industry is the right thing to do. Yes, a company has to make a profit and thats the name of the game but £160 to attend is unjustifiable.

That one good deed our engineer decided to do has paid for itself already. The customer recommended us to others and now that’s 2 more new systems being installed next week at a reasonable price just for being nice.
