Squad spotlight: HashtagQuiz ⁉️

Got a quieter night at your venue that could do with a few more people through the door?

A regular quiz night gives people a reason to come out, bring their mates and stay for another drink—or make an evening of it with food too. It’s a way to help increase footfall, encourage repeat visits and grow revenue, while building a community around your venue 🍻

I work with Hashtag Quiz as a quiz host, bringing the questions, the banter and a warm welcome. But venues have two options:

🎤 Have a host: Someone like me runs the night and gets everyone involved.

💻 Run it yourselves: Use the Hashtag Quiz software and have your own team host it, paying a weekly fee.

It’s about finding what works for your venue—and turning a quieter evening into something people look forward to.

The good, the bad and the ugly of franchising… ask me anything 💬

A huge thank you to Cat for inviting me into her franchise community for a Q&A, and for her lovely LinkedIn post introducing me. Connect with me there too if you havent already.

As a former multi-brand, multi-unit and multi-territory franchisee, I’ve got plenty of experience to share — successes, challenges and lessons learned along the way.

We’ll be talking about recruiting franchisees, keeping them engaged, navigating difficult conversations and building relationships that work for both sides.

Because franchisors and franchisees need to work in partnership. Listening, understanding each other and working towards shared goals makes such a difference.

Fun Fact - Cat & I have been in the same rooms for 3 years, but had never met until Atomicon 2026; where she came to have festival sparkles at my glitter bar. Never underestimate the power of taking time to have a genuine conversation with someone. 🎤 What can Helen do with a microphone?

How long have you got? 😉

Many moons ago before Helen’s Hub, I was an Entertainment Manager for Thomas Cook overseas. At the height of it, I was running game shows for 3,000 holidaymakers; alongside bingo, mini discos and plenty more. Getting on a stage and bringing people together has been part of my working life for years!

These days that looks like hosting HashtagQuiz nights, games and raffles, supporting awards events, judging, speaking and representing brands.

Small rooms or big stages—I’m comfortable in both.

I can warm up a room, get people involved, introduce your speakers and help guests feel welcome and at ease 😘

And I can speak about my own experiences—or be the voice of your business.

If you’ve got a brilliant brand, product or message but being centre stage isn’t your thing - you can hire me to represent you. From speaking on your behalf to engaging visitors at your stand or bringing your brand activation to life, I’ll take time to understand your message and help people connect with it.
