When someone is living with a progressive condition, success can look very different.
It’s not always about improving strength or walking further. Sometimes it’s about maintaining independence for as long as possible, continuing to do the things that matter, and finding moments of joy, purpose and achievement along the way.
When Ian was referred to us following a series of falls, neither he nor his family knew that he would later be diagnosed with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP). Since then, our role has been to support Ian and those around him to adapt, stay active and focus on what matters most to him.
If you’ve ever wondered how physiotherapy can support someone living with a progressive neurological condition, read Ian’s story here: https://www.homephysiocare.co.uk/post/physiotherapy-with-a-progressive-illness
