SUPPORTING LOCAL BUSINESSES

I popped in to Saints, Newdigate Street, Nuneaton.

During January they're doing this amazing deal - soup, a drink, bread and butter - only £1.00!!

Saints do delicious cakes and pastries, which you can take home to eat later if you want to.

The lovely staff ( including Raymondo, pictured) are friendly and waiting to serve you. It's spotlessly clean, spacious, light and airy. You can even call in just to keep warm!

Pets are also welcome to join you!

Saints is a community project run by registered charity Together for Change, in collaboration with local churches.

'We are a training kitchen providing work placements and skills training to individuals who may face barriers to employment. Please be patient with our café staff as they learn on the job.

We host a number of activities and groups for people of all ages and backgrounds. For up to date information about what's on, please check out our website or social media.

PAY IT FORWARD

For those who are struggling, we offer a Pay it Forward system with a selection of meal deals and drinks that have already been paid for. Just head to the till and ask our friendly staff what we have available.
Our Pay it Forward Scheme relies heavily on donations. If you'd like to buy an item for someone in need please pay at the till.'

They also have rooms to hire out - one downstairs, and the large room upstairs.

Nuneaton Car Sales

When I saw a vehicle which I liked, I spoke to sales advisor Jake, who answered my numerous questions, explaining things clearly for me to understand.

He wasn't pushy in any way at all, but was professional, and extremely helpful. In fact he went over and above what was expected of him, reassuring me on any doubts I had, and giving me comprehensive 5 ☆ customer service!

This was very much appreciated, as I spent a long time with Jake, and in fact went again 2 days later for a second test drive, when I purchased the vehicle, which I love!

Not only that, but I had owned my previous vehicle for over 19 years, and was very nervous to buy a new vehicle!

If you're looking for a second hand/new car, do ask for Jake. You won't be disappointed!

Note: in fact, all staff here were friendly and aren't on commission, so not pushy at all!

He'll also check and clean your gutters for you, but only if they really need it,
i.e. he won't rip you off!

Also Conservatories and Fascia cleaning carried out.

A pleasant visit to Hoar Park farm craft units today, Bank Holiday Monday, which was very busy.

Maggie's creations sells a nice selection of wool, for any knitters - see photos below.

Up the stone staircase is a very talented artist, who does take commissions, but is booked up until September!

There are animals for the children to see, payable on admission. Donkey rides were available today, and a small bouncy castle.

Gorgeous views, a fishing lake, and a children's play area.

You can't beat our lovely countryside! 😊

SUPPORTING LOCAL BUSINESSES

I recently visited The Bakery Cafe in Atherstone for lunch.

The food and the service were excellent!
And they have a 5* food rating.

I ordered the scrumptious beef roast, with roast potatoes, mashed potatoes fresh vegetables, and a full gravy boat, and accompaniments, it was piping hot and delicious.

The staff were lovely and friendly. And the owner told me that he welcomes customer's feedback, positive or negative, as his aim is to please, and he can learn from any issues customers may have.

Not only that, but if a customer suggests an addition to the menu, along with his staff, it will be considered.
