I've had such fun working on my latest project - a website for the busy local salon Image Orkney. With lots of doggy and tattoo pics to play with - what's not to love 🥰

WE ARE NOW LIVE!!!!!!!! 💻📲🎉

We’re delighted to announce the launch of our new website: imageorkney.co.uk

The new site brings everything together in one place- our full range of services, introductions to the Image team, plus portfolios of our talented Tattoo Artists and how to book them. You’ll even find the pugs (Poco & Kiki) featured there too.

Our client base is so varied from 2 years old to 90 years old!! We understand not everyone uses social media. So this is now your complete go-to for all things at Image. 🥳

A special thank you to Emma at Rymer Digital for her expertise and support over the past 10 weeks, making the whole website process seamless and enjoyable! Rymer Digital with Emma Maxwell

As the website settles we will be adding more photos and information etc. We would love your feedback on it so far!

✨ Yesterday I shared why so many businesses are choosing 2025 as the year to invest in a new website.

Today I want to share something new I’ve created to make it easier to see how I can help with this.

I’ve put together a simple page that brings everything together - who I work with, the results my clients see, and how to get in touch. Think of it as my digital intro flyer.

👉 You can see it here: rymerdigital.com/start

If you’ve been thinking about a new website, or want to make your business systems run more smoothly, this is a great place to begin.

I’ve noticed a lot of businesses are choosing 2025 as the year to invest in a new website - and with good reason too:

✨ It's your 24/7 shop window – it works for you day and night, even when you’re not.
✨ Builds trust – people expect to “Google you” and a professional site makes you credible.
✨ Saves you time – clear info, FAQs, and booking forms reduce back-and-forth messages.
✨ Reaches more people – search engines and links let new customers find you more easily.
✨ Grows with your business – you can add services, products, or features as you expand.

If these sound like good reasons to make 2025 your year for a website, get in touch.

📌 PS: I’ve also created a free checklist, “5 Things to Decide Before You Start a Website Build.” Drop me a message and I’ll send it over.

So if these sound like good reasons you need one now too, get in touch.
PS. If you'd like a copy of my free checklist: 5 Things to Decide Before You Start a Website Build, get in touch and I'll send that over as well.

I'm pretty sure you need a hand drawn Orkney colouring book in your life! I know I do 🎨

These are created by my talented daughter - go check out her shop for this and other fun things :)

Fun fact: Rymer is our middle name, which is why we both have Rymer-ish business names

There are so many ways businesses ask for my support to grow and my journey with clients starts in many different ways. One of these ways is by building them a website!

Last month I had the pleasure of working with a local tour guide on her new business. I love her concept - not just tours of Orkney, but beautifully high-end experiences that connect visitors with local artists, producers, musicians and the wild, raw landscape she loves.

It’s honestly been a real joy to bring her website to life. We kept things simple, refined, and welcoming - just like the experiences Lorraine offers.

✔️ Clear service breakdowns
✔️ Custom enquiry forms (no clunky booking systems here)
✔️ A focus on quality, storytelling, and trust

And if you're dreaming up something similar please get in touch, I currently have one space in September.

Discover Orkney through tailored tours with accredited local guides. Explore art, history, food and nature with a personal touch.

Happy Friday! Let’s normalise the quiet wins. Mine this week are:

*I have spent some time researching a tool to speed up monthly finance spreadsheets and invoicing on mine and my husband's businesses. (new tools to play with, yay!)

*I'm working on a project with a lovely client and she sent this over 'You really are top of your game. I’m blown away …totally .' (I didn't even pay her to say it!)

*I've posted on social media to remind folks I'm here when you need me - hi! 👋

What’s your quiet win/s this week?

We’re looking for an additional assistant to join us in the chip van on Thursday to Sunday evenings plus the occasional event. This is a part-time role suitable for anyone aged 16 and over who’s enthusiastic, reliable, and keen to work in a friendly, fast-paced environment.

We pay above living wage.

The role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, and has good availability across our evening service. No prior experience is needed – we’ll show you the ropes.

Think it might suit you or someone you know? We’d love to hear from you.

We're based in Orphir so we'd particularly love to hear from anyone in Orphir as that would mean you have the option to start and end your journey with us instead of meeting us at serving locations.

📩 Message us here or visit https://peediechippie.com/vacancy/ for more details.

I’ve got a super fun game planned for this Easter Sunday! I will hide Easter eggs in 5 listing images across Rymermade.com which will each contain discount codes for 10-25% off - but there’s a catch! Each code can only be used once, so you have to be the first to find and use it so that you don’t miss out!! Happy hunting!

We do good skies in Orkney!

This was happening outside the other night and I nearly missed it. As I walked past the window and spotted it though, it got me to thinking about pausing and reflecting and how important it can be to slow down sometimes. It was good timing as I have just finished reading 'Slow Productivity'

Anyway, It seemed like a good topic for a blog post - business with rhythm, presence, and heart and why sometimes, the most powerful thing you can do… is nothing at all https://rymerdigital.com/slow-down-to-look-up/

It's the same with this bank holiday weekend. Regardless of what you celebrate, I think it's worth taking a pause to come back stronger.

Would love to hear your thoughts on slow business or recent moments that gave you pause.

Disclaimer: this was taken on my iphone from inside the house, I may or may not have have felt too lazy to get dressed and go outside with my proper camera to get nice pics - I hope you get the idea though.

Hands up if you love an online course! 🙋‍♀️

Me too! I've often feel like there’s always something new to learn — another fresh take, another system, another holy grail strategy that might just be the one.

The uncomfortable truth is often that if we’re still spending money on courses instead of getting support—we’re not stuck, we’re stalling.

Knowledge isn’t your bottleneck. Ex*****on is.

You don’t actually need another $997 strategy. You need someone to help implement the ideas you already have.

Have you ever found yourself stuck in the course cycle? What helped you break free?

I've written a blog post on the subject here: https://rymerdigital.com/stop-buying-courses/

For the last 6 Friday’s I’ve been attending the Connect to Grow programme with Business Gateway Orkney, delivered by CRC in Old Library Coworking. It was a 6-week course designed to support women in Business. And wow, what a powerful experience. It feels odd not to be spending my Fridays with this inspiring group of women so I wanted to take a moment to reflect.

Over the weeks, we explored everything from vision and values to systems, marketing, people, and finance—but what stood out most was the sense of community.

I’ve met some truly incredible women who not only run their own businesses but also lift each other up with openness, humour, and realness. Some of them have already become friends, collaborators, and supporters—and I’m so grateful to have shared this space with them.

💫 Being in business can feel lonely sometimes—but this reminded me how powerful it is to be surrounded by people who get it, and who genuinely have your back.

Here’s to growing our businesses and cheering each other on as we do. 💛

and here’s some wonderful female-led local businesses to follow today
