It’s not long until the Chinese New Year, so why not make some Chinese-inspired lanterns 🏮 with the kids.

Jam Jar Lantern Instructions ⬇️

🌟 Paint jam jar with mod podge (PVA glue and water)
🌟 Cover with tissue paper
🌟 Paint jam jar all over with glue and water mix
🌟 Once dry, decorate
🌟 Add tea light
🌟 Ta da!

If you're starting to think about plans for the weekend, you might want to take train enthusiasts in your family to the 🚂 Pratts Bottom Model Railway Show 🚂 organised by the Orpington and District Model Railway Society.
It's on both days from 10am-5pm and is very popular with young and old alike, particularly as there is a Thomas the Tank Engine model village with drive-yourself trains to play with.
