I spoke to a coach last week who told me he’d paid £75k for a year’s coaching with an executive coach. I also know other coaches who’ve invested tens of thousands of pounds in themselves through 1-2-1 coaching and various programmes. I just can’t comprehend spending that much personally (for one, I don’t have that kind of money!), but to them it represents huge value because they get so much out of it and it's a big return on investment.

Which got me thinking….when hiring somebody to help you with your business or a specific area of your life, it’s easy to fall into the trap of equating value solely with monetary compensation.
However, the essence of value extends far beyond the digits that leave your bank account. True value lies in the transformative impact of a service or job, the doors it opens and the opportunities it enables.

Think about this - you hire someone to perform a task or provide a service, you're not just paying for their time and expertise. You're investing in the potential they unlock, the problems they solve, the tasks they alleviate, the freedom they offer and ultimately, the growth of your business! The true value of a job lies in the ripple effect it creates; the dominoes it sets in motion.
Let's take the example of hiring a personal trainer. Yes, you're paying for their guidance during workout sessions, but the real value goes beyond the hourly rate. It lies in the healthier lifestyle they help you achieve, the confidence they instil, and the long-term well-being they support. Their value isn't confined to the gym; it permeates every aspect of your life.

So, the value of a job often extends beyond the immediate transaction. It reverberates through communities, economies, and even generations.

Value is not a static thing measured solely in currency. It's dynamic, multifaceted, and deeply personal. It's about the doors opened, the burdens lifted, and the lives touched.

So, the next time you assess the worth of a job or service – either a job you’re looking to fill or a job you do that you are offering, look beyond the price tag.

Consider their insights, their knowledge, their skills, their experience, their hours, months even years of training and investment in themselves and how they can bring all of that to you to help you transform your life or business.

That's where the true value lies.

One of the most eye-opening lessons I've learned from being involved in the coaching industry, is how our state of mind directly influences relationships. 🤝 Our internal landscape profoundly impacts how we connect with others, including our clients!

When we approach client interactions from a place of clarity and peace within ourselves, the rapport and trust we build is remarkable! 🌿🌱 Conversely, when our minds are clouded by stress, doubt, or insecurity, it taints our innate peace of mind, hindering progress.

That's why understanding our own mental wellbeing isn't just self-care; it's an investment in the quality of our client relationships. 🌻💖 By maintaining a grounded, open-hearted presence, we create a safe space for clients to explore, grow, and thrive.

So here's an experiment for you! Keep an eye out for your state of mind today and see how it impacts those you interact with?

Let's talk business growth! 🌟

One of the most powerful investments you can make in your business if you're looking to expand, is hiring the right person with the right skills, knowledge, experience.

Think about it: when you bring someone onto your team who not only has the expertise you need but also shares your vision and values, the possibilities are endless. Suddenly, you're not just spending money —you're investing in the future of your business, paving the way for success and growth.

When you have the right person in the right role, magic happens. They bring fresh ideas to the table, challenge the status quo, and inspire your team to reach new heights. They're not just another employee; they're a driving force behind your company's evolution and expansion.

But here's the best part: hiring the right person doesn't just make your business better—it makes you money. 💰 Whether it's through increased productivity, improved customer satisfaction, or innovative solutions that drive revenue, the return on investment is undeniable.

So, the next time you're hesitant to invest in hiring top talent, remember this: it's not about what it costs you; it's about what it can make you. By surrounding yourself with the right people, you're not just building a business—you're building a legacy.

Over the last six months, since I first started working alongside solopreneur coaches, I've witnessed firsthand the incredible transformation that occurs when they fully commit to their vision. 💼✨

Commitment isn't just about sticking to a plan or meeting deadlines. It's about embodying a mindset of unwavering dedication to your goals, regardless of the challenges that may arise. 💪

This is where I've fallen short in the past. Like doing the 'Hokey Cokey,' I've had one leg in and one leg out. I've told myself that I'm committed, but my behaviour hasn't shown that to be true, because I've not taken action in the direction of my commitment!

As Maverick was told in Top Gun, 'Your ego's writing cheques your body can't cash!'

Moritz Lembert is just one of those coaches who is fully committed to investing in himself as well as his vision. I've been working with him for the last six months and in that time he's taken bold steps towards his mission of creating a lasting impact on people so they can create the life of their dreams. This has included taking on a stunning retreat centre and building up a team of experts around him, who can help him achieve his long-term vision.

What I see here is, when you commit wholeheartedly to your business journey, you tap into an inner reservoir of resilience, creativity and resourcefulness that propels you forward, even in the face of adversity.

Commitment is the fuel that ignites innovation, fosters growth, and turns dreams into reality. It's the secret sauce that separates those who merely dream from those who dare to make their dreams a living, breathing success story.

So, fellow solopreneurs! Stand firm in your vision, stay true to your values, and let your unwavering commitment be the guiding light that leads you to your success. You don't need to know the whole journey....just the destination and the next step!

I just wanted to share a little insight that's been resonating deeply with me lately in my business journey. What I've come to see is that there is a power in letting go of agendas, especially when it comes to enrollment conversations with potential clients.

It's so easy to get caught up in wanting a particular outcome or pushing towards a specific goal, but true service isn't about that at all. It's about being fully present, listening with an open heart and guiding without attachment (I wrote a post on 'Are you Serving or Selling?' recently, which you can find here on my page: link in comments).

When I let go of any preconceived ideas, desires or need for a certain outcome (especially around money!), then I'm able to connect on a deeper level with my potential clients, understanding their needs and desires in a way that feels authentic and genuine. From that place, we both get to see if we're aligned to working together and whether or not I can really provide value to their business. From here, there is the potential for amazing partnerships to be created.

Or not.

I might not be that person's cup of tea, or likewise, they might not be vibin' on my frequency and I might not feel like I can work with them. But that can all be handled from a place of love, rather than fear.

So, next time you find yourself in a conversation where you're tempted to steer towards a particular outcome, I invite you to pause, take a breath, and simply be present. Because it's in those moments of pure presence that we can truly serve others in the most profound way possible.

🤩 Conscious Awareness: The True Path to Success at Work! 🤩

I’m a self-confessed learning ju**ie! I like to know things, gather knowledge, get certified in stuff, join the latest trainings etc. I have shiny object-syndrome!

Why? Because somewhere, deep inside, I feel a sense of lack. I don’t feel good enough. I compare and despair, which manifests as, I have to know more in order to validate myself to me and others. I'm sure I'm not alone in this. It might also present as Imposter Syndrome.

So in a world that often celebrates intellect and expertise, it's easy to get caught up in a never-ending pursuit to gather more information, more skills, and more qualifications, like I did. But what if the true key to thriving in the workplace lies in something much simpler yet infinitely more powerful: conscious awareness?

What I've come to realise is that success isn't just about being the smartest person in the room or having the most impressive CV. It's about being present in every moment, being authentic, being fully attuned to ourselves, our clients, our colleagues and our environment. It's about cultivating a deep understanding of our innate wisdom (that ‘knowing’ that’s always there which only ever gets obscured by our thinking) and really allowing it to guide our interactions and decisions. It’s about understanding that that wisdom is there in others too and allowing them the space to get in touch with it.

When we operate from a place of conscious awareness, amazing things start to happen. We become more empathetic listeners, truly understanding the perspectives and needs of those around us. We become more adaptable, able to navigate challenges with grace and resilience and our best work comes from this place. And perhaps most importantly, we become more authentic leaders, inspiring trust and collaboration wherever we go.

So let's shift our focus from the pursuit of knowledge to the cultivation of conscious awareness. Let's prioritise inner wisdom over external validation and watch as our workplaces transform into spaces of creativity, innovation, and genuine connection. ❤️

🌟 Are you selling or serving? 🌟

In a world inundated with advertisements, promotions, pushy sales calls and an obsession with ‘getting ahead of the competition,’ it's easy to become blinkered and get caught up in a sales-driven culture. After all, sales = money, right?

But what if that was a more valuable and meaningful way to do business and still make money? What if we shifted our focus from pushing products and services to simply being of service!

Offering a service is very different to being of service. The first is about simply fulfilling a transaction, whereas the second is rooted in building meaningful connections with people. When we prioritise being of service, we prioritise people. We listen to their needs, understand their concerns, and offer solutions tailored to them. It’s about relationships rather than ‘retail.’

When we are simply serving others, regardless of whether a sale takes place, we are building loyalty and trust. We are giving at the highest level. Clients remember how you made them feel long after a sale has been made or if after your initial interactions a sale has not been made, as long as you’ve been serving, when they do need what you have to offer, it’s you they’ll likely to return to in the future. By going above and beyond, you create advocates who not only return but also spread the word about their positive experiences.

Service-driven professionals prioritise problem-solving. The focus is fully on the client and instead of just pushing what they have to offer (regardless of need!), they aim to solve their customers' problems, and in the beginning it might not even be you who’s the right person to do that, in which case you offer personal recommendations to professionals who are better suited to meet their needs.

Is that giving away business? Absolutely not….because you cannot outgive the Universe so whatever you give out, will come back to you…in abundance!

So let's shift the narrative from sales pitches to genuine interactions. Let's focus on serving, not just selling. Because in the end, it's the relationships we build and the value we provide that truly make a difference.

Do you have an example of where you served rather than sold? Or maybe you’ve been on the receiving end and have had either a good or bad experience of working with a business or professional. I’d love to hear your stories!

Call now to connect with business.
