I have just been listening to Sister Chan Khong sing a lullaby in French, English and Vietnamese. It is calming, and beautiful. Despite her age she sings like a young girl, like an angel on this earth. She has supported Thich Nhat Hanh, our Buddhist teacher, in many ways, for many years. She is an amazing woman, responsible for running Plum Village, the Buddhist Retreat in France, where he teaches.

Thich Nhat Hanh is a humble, learned, Buddhist Monk who is revered and loved deeply by many thousands. He was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize by Martin Luther King and has written over a 100 books. He is the wisest man I have ever met. Yesterday, at the age of 88, he suffered a brain haemorrhage. He is now in Bordeaux Hospital and the latest post says he is recovering! To find out more, and to listen to Sister Chan Khong sing, go to Thich Nhat Hanh's page.
