A bookkeeper is the basis finance function in any business! The foundation to growing, understanding and planning everything.

Tracking the pennies in and out and making sure all costs and sales are recorded.

Making sure VAT is claimed where it can.

Chasing you as a business owner for that missing paperwork.

Some even run your payroll and arrange payments for payroll and suppliers.

Spending the weekend doing some truck building and marketing - one I enjoy the other I’m slowly building an understanding to work with the team we are using to make the messaging better 😉

Got me thinking lots of talk goes on about do I need a bookkeeper, an accountant, a full team, or a tax advisor.

Some of our clients are looked after by the lovely Karen Taunt - she’s worked with us almost 4.5 years - today Leanda got to meet her in person for the first time!

A flying visit but we managed lunch, a walk and to get to know each others heights in real life 😂😂😂

36 days and the biggest change at HMRC for many years!

Sole traders and property owners the changes may affect you!

Turnover over £50,000 and you are either self employed, rent out properties or both?

Self Assessment for you is changing!

You will need to

- Keep records on software or a spreadsheet
- Submit a report to HMRC every 3 months that shares income and expenses
- Claim tax reliefs and send a final submission (like you’re current once a year tax return)

Paying tax is still the same,

VAT registered - you still have to do these separately!
