I achieved a "Merit" in the "Technology" option of my Diploma in Translation exam (The Chartered Institute of Linguists) in 2010 and a "Distinction" pass mark in the "Law" option in 2012. I have been a UK resident since 2001, initially working as an archaeologist. In 2005 I started working as a freelance translator, after working in various roles in the LSI and provided services among others for Nokia, Canon, Xerox, Portsmouth City Council, Defence School of Languages, Greater London Authority, Arsenal Football Club, British Football Association, Transport for London, IEMA, Google, YouTube, Nike and countless others. I am committed to professional development and I constantly strive to improve my skills in different areas of the profession - learning about new technologies, developing my vocabulary and reading relevant publications as well as attending webinars, workshops and conferences in various aspects of the translation profession and networking with peers. I currently hold Enhanced DBS Clearance and CTC (Counter Terrorism Clearance). I am a Member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists and a Qualified Member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting. My preferred translation CAT tools are Memoq 9, SDL Trados Studio 2019 and Memsource. I have been working as a freelance translator since 2005. I achieved a "Merit" in the "Technology" option of my Diploma in Translation exam (The Chartered Institute of Linguists) in 2010 and a "Distinction" pass mark in the "Law" option in 2012. I came to the UK in 2001 and my interest in becoming a translator developed when I started translating documents from and into English for Amtec Co-op in 2003. In 2005, I started working for myself and setup Bosphorus Translation. Since then, I have provided services for many companies and organisations such as Nokia, Canon, Portsmouth City Council, Defence School of Languages, Greater London Authority and countless others.

I am committed to professional development and I constantly strive to improve my skills in different areas of the profession - learning about new technologies, developing my vocabulary and reading relevant publications.
