First bumble bee nest move of the year 🐝

This colony had made their home in an old bird box above a garage door, which meant the owner couldn’t safely access the garage.

Rather than destroy the nest, we carefully moved them into the bag and they’re now on their way to a new spot in the countryside, where they can settle in and thrive once the weather improves.

Bumble bees are important pollinators, so where it’s safe and practical, relocation is always the best outcome.
