The ideal engineer will be:
- Able to work well with colleagues and on their own.
- Driven, hard-working and self-motivated to complete all production tasks on or ahead of schedule.
- At least conversational, preferably fluent in both written and spoken English.
- Able to read basic manufacturing drawings and plans.
- Able to use power tools - drills, saws, grinders and cutters.
- Have a driving license (Category B ).
- Have welding experience (and qualification ideally, but not mandatory).
- Forklift experience (again, qualifications would be ideal, but not mandatory).
The role includes the following responsibilities, alongside the rest of the production team:
- Manufacturing from detailed drawings.
- Product assembly.
- Measuring and cutting material to size.
- Drilling to match manufacturing drawings.
- Picking goods and stocking away goods-in.
- Ensuring the production space is kept clean and tidy.
- Delivery of goods to customers and collection from suppliers, on an ad-hoc basis.
