Conversations for Marketing Clarity – How are you solving their problems? (Products)

If you’re ready to continue your journey to systematically improve your marketing by having marketing clarity (knowing what marketing you need to do, when and why), let’s look at the products and services you currently offer your clients – and how to tell if they’re what they need.

Conversation three: How are you solving their problems?

Your organisation’s products and services are the ways in which you solve clients’ problems or meet their needs – they are the helping hand that you offer them. Let’s take some time to look at what you offer and see if they are doing what they should.

Conversations for Marketing Clarity – Whose problems are you solving? (segmentation)

For your marketing to be effective, you have to focus. This means you have to have effective segmentation.

No company, no matter how big it is, can solve everyone’s problems or meet everyone’s wants or needs. One of the keys to unlocking steady business growth is to know whom your organisation is helping solve problems i.e. segmentation.

Segmentation is simple –take the people who are buying your products and “group” them so that you can develop a complete marketing mix (products, price, promotion etc.) for that group; this targeted approach means you’ll have the right customers coming to you for the right products paying the right price.

We all get it. But we don’t.

This is why my second conversation for marketing clarity is always around segmentation.
