Bit late but Fig says Happy Easter!

What a week this is proving to be. The integration of any new software can be fraught and this week has shown just quite how awkward and time consuming it can be.

New payroll software, although I think will be good in the long run has been a nightmare. When you know that people are relying on you to ensure their pay is correct and paid at the right time there is a whole new level of fear!

Lots of hours but we did it!

First 2 self assessments of the 25-26 season have been submitted plus their partnership return. Lovely young couple looking to buy a house and needed their info asap.

I will try and accommodate as much as I can when info is needed urgently.

Now onto another lovely lady who also needs her tax return submitted asap also because she is buying a house!

Back from a quick visit to London to watch my daughter graduate from her Masters in Public Health. ❤️ I am so incredibly proud of her - she studied this whilst working an insane amount of hours, and despite the uni saying you will never be able to manage the workload she proved them wrong. (Stubbornness runs in our family 😂😂)

Well that's a wrap! 24/25 tax return season is done!

164 tax returns submitted (64 of these in January 26)
2 sadly not quite made the deadline but will done in February

I'm not going to lie it's been a tough month, I've been ill for most of it and every other aspect of my life had to be put on hold but we got there!

Onwards to 25/26 and the start of Making tax digital for income tax.

Will finally get around to taking the Christmas tree down this weekend 🤣

This amazing human being is my daughter Lauren. For the last two years she has been juggling work whilst studying for a Masters in Health Policy at The London School of Hygiene and tropical medicine.

Today she handed in her dissertation and got handed a glass of Prosecco by her lovely partner.

I am so incredibly proud of her (more than she’ll ever realise probably!) ❤️

You know when you have one of those days that is just a nightmare?? Welcome to my day.

We realised last night the wifi in the office had stopped working, que my husband this morning frantically hard wiring as much as he could which gave me the pc but no printers or scanner.

This afternoon, whilst walking on my treadmill (relatively quickly) the power goes. Didn't fall off but heart nearly stopped in shock 😂 I have an uninterrupted power supply that suddenly decided nah today I feel like turning EVERYTHING OFF. So it did.

Husband came home and had a look and we think the air con unit overloaded it, the high pitched whine I could hear all morning I thought was the air con but in fact was the power supply warning me of impending doom.

Still no wifi but I do have power and air con so all good for now 😬😬😬😬
