We're delighted to share that Chores & Challenges will be taking part in Vision Zone in Farnham on Tuesday 29th September 2026!

Vision Zone is a fantastic opportunity to explore support services, assistive technology, community groups, and so much more - all designed to support people living with low vision or sight loss. A wide range of organisations and charities will be there, offering information, advice, and hands-on experiences with helpful equipment and technology. You'll have the chance to meet organisations such as Sight for Surrey, Thomas Pocklington Trust, SYNAPPTIC and OrCam.

At Chores & Challenges, we're passionate about supporting independence in everyday life. We work alongside individuals with visual impairments to help with daily tasks, routines, and creating a more accessible, comfortable home environment.

A little extra support can make a world of difference 🏡💛

One of our super Hatha Helpers recently fitted two wooden handrails along a client's staircase, making it much easier and safer for her to get up and down the stairs ✔️

Sometimes it's the small adaptations around the home that help people stay independent and feel more confident every day.

The Chores & Challenges management team were able to reflect on what has been an outstanding first half of the year at yesterday's meeting 👏👏👏

We're delighted to share that we're well ahead of plan at the halfway stage of the year, and Chores & Challenges continues to go from strength to strength 💪

Some highlights from the first six months:
✅ We're welcoming more than 10 new clients every month.
✅ We've already delivered more hours than we did in the whole of last year.
✅ Most importantly, we're continuing to build a business that makes a real difference to the people and communities we support.

A huge thank you to our incredible team of Hatha Helpers and our clients for making this possible. We're proud of what we've achieved together, but we're even more excited about what's still to come in the second half of the year.

There is an amber heat-health alert in place for Surrey this week.

The best thing to do in the hot weather is stay out of the direct sun, especially during the hottest part of the day, between 11am and 3pm, when UV rays are at their strongest. If you need to go out in the hot weather, walk in the shade, wear a hat, sunglasses and light, loose-fitting, light-coloured clothes. Apply sunscreen frequently of at least SPF 30 and 4 or 5 star ultraviolet A (UVA) protection regularly to exposed skin.
