Patience is sometimes key when your Google Business Listing gets taken down followed by strategic steps and perseverance.

A client had a violation and from being a top 3 listing in Google was suspended this happened in May. I started appeals in June when he contacted me and finally it was reinstated in October.

Unfortunately as Business Google Listings are free Google have not invested in this area so you can't contact anyone is a complete automated process.

In this case the reason it was taken down was due to Locksmiths classed as a high risk category due to Scammers using it in America to offer cheap services for locksmiths which you pay up front and then they never come due to being scammers.

So Google cracked down on this area worldwide.
Getting authenticity of the business was key so visible presence online was essential getting listed on local directories, Yell, Check A Trade, having a good facebook business page with reviews.
Good clear webpage with all business details. This is key so when Google AI bots search the internet it all helps in relation to the authenticity.

Unfortunately some sectors this process can currently take up to 6 months which is frustrating but implementing the above strategies along with a targeted appeal should help you get reinstated eventually.

With Google Listings appeals you need to have all the evidence required ready as once you submit you only have 60 mins to upload the required information. Also don't create duplicate listing in the meantime as will taken down straight away and effect your appeal. Is a slow process at the moment with up to 14 day wait at the moment as the customer service that deal with this are currently based in India.

Problems with verifications, violations are all problems at some point you will come across with your Google Business Listing.
Patience and a clear head is essential as the process of resolving is slow and can be very frustrating.
If you want help resolving I charge a one off fee of £100 for solving the issue - payable only once the issue is resolved.

How quick do you answer your business phone ?

During a test for a client on google listing if you don't answer your phone within 2 rings they will go onto the next business below you.

So for eg if you are a contractor that is working it may be worthwhile having either a call service handling calls for you or to avoid missing business a message or text saying you will ring them back etc
