Therapeutic Venesection - a procedure which involves taking approximately 450mls blood (similar to a blood donation) to treat conditions such as:
Hemochromatosis
Polycythemia
High blood counts related to TRT (Testosterone Replacement Therapy)

A letter of recommendation from a medical professional will be required prior to treatment 📝

This is the face of a very happy girl who’s just completed her Postgraduate Certificate (PgC) in Critical Care Nursing! 🎉
I was talked into doing this at level 7 (Masters Level) by my lead nurse, which proved so so difficult! 😅 BUT I’m really pleased with my grade and thankful I challenged myself with the harder level!
Which should now mean I have more time for creating content…even though I hate it 🙈
Now wondering what else I can sign myself up for! 😅
I’m getting lots of questions asking for recommendations for companies to test blood as a general health check. As I do not have the means to test the blood, I only collect the blood to send away.

Most of my appointments tend to be for TRT (Testosterone Replacement Therapy) or health checks alongside weight loss medication such as Mounjaro. Let me know if you have any recommendations for me to share 🫶🏼

Ciao! I’m back from Rome!🏛️☀️

While I’ve been away, I’ve had questions about when mobile phlebotomy services may be needed - so thought I would answer them publicly 💉

There are lots of reasons why someone may seek a mobile phlebotomist (someone who comes to your home/work to take your blood)👩🏼‍⚕️

A few examples are:
🩸 for tests ordered from private companies where attending a clinic is too far/costly
🩸 for tests ordered from private companies who offer mobile phlebotomy appointments but are very costly and are looking for more affordable option
🩸for those who are busy and struggle to find the time out of busy schedules to book appointments to have blood drawn
🩸for those working from home who struggle to get time off to attend clinic appointments
🩸for those who struggle to leave their homes due to mobility and/or mental health struggles
🩸for needle phobics who prefer to be in the comfort of their own homes rather than a clinic where they may feel stressed from previous bad experiences
🩸for those who struggle with childcare
🩸for those that don’t drive and struggle with transport
🩸for those who are able to attend a clinic, but prefer to speed things along if placed on a waiting list

Although this is a cheaper service being offered by private companies, rest assured that I am an experienced nurse currently practicing in ICU, so you are definitely not cutting corners and putting yourself at risk. I pride myself on following best evidence practice and treating all my clients with respect and compassion 🌟

*please note*
Whatever the reason you require mobile phlebotomy, in order for me to collect your blood samples, I need the blood bottles and request form to do this. I don’t have the means of sending these away to be tested. This can be organised by either the NHS, or private companies who offer blood testing and analysis

Happy Bank Holiday! 🤩
I’ve been working today on this cold and cloudy bank hol in my full time job as a critical care nurse in the NHS 💙
I also have a busy day tomorrow doing 3 venepuncture appointments one after another starting as early as 7am!🕖

I’m still figuring out how to get some content together to share on these pages, so bare with me 😅
I might do a behind the scenes video and bring you along to the parts that don’t show my patients, who would like to see that? 🙈
