Do you remember the “sitting with Nellie” way of learning at work? Where the new employee sat beside the experienced hand (aka Nellie) and was supposed to pick up the job (and probably all Nellie’s bad habits!) by watching.
It’s a way of teaching that frustrates the heck out of me, and the people I work with.
Nellie does so much of her job “in automatic mode” that she forgets to point out many of the steps.
So when the new girl tries to do it on her own it doesn’t work.
Sound familiar?
Have you been told by “Nellies” that you “just need to do this” with a new marketing tool or piece of tech? But you just can’t get it to work?
So your marketing plans stay on hold while you try to figure it out. And wonder why it’s so hard.
Maybe my way of working will help get you unstuck
