Full review: 'Tami was brilliant and I would highly recommend her for any parent/guardian having sleep issues with their little one. We were desperately in need of help with our 20 month old. I only wish we had reached out sooner. Our toddler was needing to feed to sleep, waking up throughout the evening and refusing to sleep in the cot. We were so tired and out of ideas. After 3 weeks, little one is no longer relying on feeding to sleep, in own bed, Dad able to settle (would never let him before), we have our evenings back and lo eating better during the day. It was great having the whatsapp support. We also had regular calls throughout and Tami adjusted the plan as we needed. In our last call with Tami we talked through our next steps to keep consolidating on the progress we have made and she sent us a recap over e-mail. I am so glad we used Tami and am really grateful for all the support. A big thank you! If you are thinking of using a sleep consultant, I would say don't wait a moment longer and get in touch with Tami!'

Full review: 'Our little boy was only sleeping for an hour at a time, falling asleep on his bottle, and unable to settle in his cot. It was really starting to affect our day-to-day lives as we were completely exhausted.

We reached out to Tami and were able to get a consultation really quickly — and it was free! She took the time to go through everything in detail and reassured us that she could help with Lucas’s sleep issues. I’ll admit, I was a bit sceptical at first because I couldn’t see how it was all going to work. But Tami provided us with a clear, detailed plan, so we decided to give it a try.

By the second night, he slept for 7 hours straight in his own cot — I couldn’t believe it!

Of course, there have been some challenges along the way, but Tami has been there every step of the journey with daily messages and regular phone calls. Two weeks later, he’s now sleeping in his cot for every nap and only waking once during the night. Night feeds are down to just one, and we’re no longer running on empty as a family.

Tami also gave us a thorough plan for how to move forward, which has left us feeling confident and prepared to continue.

I honestly can’t thank Tami enough for everything she has done — she has truly changed our lives'

This may seem like a good idea and surely more solids means a fuller tummy and more sleep? Unfortunately this is not always the case and in the early weeks of weaning, breastmilk or formula is still providing the most calories for your baby. Vegetables are likely to be the first foods you introduce and they have very few calories. I often see the mistake of babies being given lots of vegetables and milk feeds becoming too few and babies actually waking even more at night because they are genuinely hungry. Look out of this easy mistake when weaning. 'First Steps Nutrition' have a great guide for the first year of weaning and eating. This family were so tired when I first met them and the hourly wakes were really difficult. After filling in my questionnaire and keeping sleeping and feeding logs for 3 days/nights, I did a home visit and we went through all the information and why I thought their baby was waking so often. I then created a personalised plan and we got started! A few naps tweaks, optimised feeding, looked at any discomfort, moved baby to his own room and worked on how he was falling asleep. Very quickly the longer stretches started and then he started sleeping through the night! If you need sleep help, please DM me to book an initial call to find out more 😊

It's going to be hot for the next week! It's really important to keep your babies and toddlers well hydrated, offering extra breastfeeds or water. There are also lots of foods that have high water content and are great for helping keep hydrated! Watermelons, strawberries, cucumber, apples, melon and of course ice lollies!

It's getting warm! 🥵 Here are my top tips for keeping your little ones cool and sleeping well

1. Stay in the shade as much as possible
2. Keep them hydrated, lots of extra drinks or breastfeeds
3. Hats and suncream
4. Keep bedroom curtains drawn in the day, open windows in the evening being careful of young children climbing
5. A luke warm bath in the evening
6. A fan in their room, not directly on child but circulating
7. Slow down their activities
8. Paddling pool in the shade
9. Lighter clothing to sleep in
10. Naps on the go, if they are struggling to sleep at home

Sleep may be harder during this heat wave, but will return to normal once cooler

It is not often that I am taken back by the content of sleep logs, as I feel I have seen it all! But sometimes I get a baby that I can't quite believe! This 7 month old was waking so many times a night but with a few changes and a consistent routine, he soon began sleeping longer stretches! if you need sleep help, just get in touch and I will be happy to help 😊
