Couldn't agree more- we can't believe that there are now schools that do not have MUSIC as a GSCE Option.

It has been a very busy Spring term! We welcomed 3 young local school students for work experience - year 10 and 12. They got to sit in on some tutorials and got some hands on workshop experience too.
We welcomed George from Gazelle.in person for two great business presentations.
Q&A and stories from the coalface when Laurence Caldiccote spent the morning wth us before heading up to london for Islington Pianos - being filmed ahead of the release of movie.
Thanks to David wilce Firstep Online for his very ueful presentation on tip and tricks for your online preence and the pitfalls to avoid.
Then it was off to Piano Restorations Ltd for another great visit, ahead of work experience over the next few weeks

Away from the current cohort - 6 tuners came for a "Back -to -school" Repairs day- a great chance to meet tuners and brush up on those skills tuners may have forgotten or in some cases never been taught.

Thanks also to Tom & Nigel Kawai Pianos UK for welcoming 8 tuners to their HQ for Hybrid training.

Last week we hosted American piano tuner and pianist Steven Hopp, for a Grand PianoTuning Stability workshop.

Well that was fun! Well done all

Our intensive students spent their final term carrying out invaluable work experience ahead of their final assessments and exams.

A whole class upright assessment and service day with Steve at a customers house.

As one set of exams finished we welcomed senior techs Ricki Klos RPT and Stephen Hopp RPT for more PTG exams.
Its always lovely to catch up with former trainees to hear how they are getting on and huge congratulations to Patrick Nicol, who passed his RPT tuning Exam.

The Piano Technology School is the only training course that offers work experience both during and after training.

We also mentor and maintain our relationships with those who have finished our course for 6th months after.

We also believe that ongoing high quality professional development is very important to the trade as a whole.

Would you like to join the women’s group at St Andrew's Church, Rugby? It is called Rosebuds (the name was derived from the Rose of Sharon which is a rose that symbolises divine beauty, love and resilience). The group meets once a month on a Wednesday night at Satchmo’s (opposite the church) at 7pm.
These are the following dates up to the summer: 11th February, 18th March, 15th April, 13th May, 17th June and 19th July.
The purpose of the group is for fellowship and friendship and the evening includes catching up with each other, a short craft activity and a quick reflection on a theme. Up till Easter the group is looking at prominent women from the Bible and after Easter, the fruits of the spirit.
