It’s hard to believe that Goonvean Games III was nearly two months ago, and we’re still talking about what a fantastic event it was! 🏆

Once again colleagues from across the Group came together for a day of competition, teamwork, (questionable 🫣) sporting ability and, most importantly, plenty of fun.

The Goonvean Group Marathon May challenge, led by Matthew Gazzard, included a team of 10 brave runners who ran just over 8km a day, every day, during the second week of May. That’s two teams of five people, running five marathons, over five days! 🥵

Collectively, our heroic runners have raised over £4,000, and counting, for Children's Hospice South West. 🏅🏃🏼‍♀️👏

We can’t quite believe that we’re just days away from the third Goonvean Games. The event has become a favourite of ours, and we can’t wait to welcome the teams from across the group. Expect (gentle!) competition, fun, and fundraising for our chosen charities, Children's Hospice South West and Rotherham Hospice.

We were recently honoured and delighted to welcome the Lord-Lieutenants to Goonvean Group. Our guests enjoyed a guided tour of the new Precision Casting Ltd foundry before visiting the Engineering Centre Of Excellence. The event allowed us to showcase our people, operations, and ongoing commitment to the communities we work in.

Marathon May: Day 2 of 5 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

The miles are continuing as our brave teams take on Marathon May to raise money for two incredible charities - Children's Hospice South West and Rotherham Hospice.

This week, we’re proud to be taking part in Mental Health Awareness Week.

This year’s theme is ‘Action’: for yourself, for someone else, for all of us.

We’re supporting this in two ways:
💚 Encouraging all our staff to take action by making small, positive changes to their daily routines to support their mental health and wellbeing.
💚 Launching our new Mental Health First Aid Network: a team of trained Mental Health First Aiders who are available throughout the group, for anyone who may want a moment to talk or needs support with their mental health.

We’re committed to creating a supportive workplace where mental health conversations are encouraged, supported, and valued.
