Details on a new grant scheme available for rural businesses - deadline to apply 22 June 2026

Capital grants from £1,000 up to £49,999 with an average award of around £15,000 are being made available to rural micro and small businesses in Cumbria

The Economic Development team are coming to Sedbergh People’s Hall on Monday 15th June at 2pm to provide an overview of the Council’s new Economic Growth Strategy, a 10-yr plan.
This will provide businesses with a chance to discuss opportunities and wider priorities for the town.

Here's hoping Sedbergh Main Street will be busy with visitors this weekend - Fell Runners Assoc Junior Championships on Saturday and Sedbergh School Sports Day on Sunday.
