In my year off, when I felt well enough I started exploring new styles.

I don’t feel settled with anything, but I would like to step away from all my work being realistic.

I love realism in my pet portraits, but I really feel the need to be looser in other work.

This is one recent painting I did. It’s in acrylics on board. Title undecided.

They dry so fast compared to the caligo oil based ones. Very different to work with, but to do two layers in an afternoon is amazing as they dry soooo fast!

Using speedball inks which aren’t oil based. They dry so quickly it’s amazing.

I actually managed to print two passes. This would have taken about 10 days with the drying time of caligo safewash inks.

This means I may get these finished by Weds.
