Houses are built directly onto the gorge walls, and the water runs out between them into the lake. 💦🏘️

The Orrido di Nesso is a narrow ravine cut by two streams meeting just before they reach Lake Como. A stone bridge from the eleventh century crosses the mouth of it. 🌉⏳

Nesso itself clings to the slope in tiers, and the best view of the gorge is from the water, which is why the boat services are worth taking over the road. ⛵✨
