Earlier this week Luton Council asked us to light up the Town Hall as part of the National Day of Reflection.

It is always an honour to be trusted to undertake such an important moment for local communities.

Luton’s town hall is lit up yellow to mark the National Day of Reflection and remember those who we have lost to the Covid-19 pandemic. 💛

St Patrick’s Festival with Luton Irish Forum was our first event to be cancelled in 2020 but seeing their team again and being able to celebrate with them in 2021 gives us all hope for the future 💚🍀💚

We’ve lit a number of buildings over the past 12 months and have a variety of fixtures in stock to suit any budget.

Why not mark a special occasion for your town, charity or organisation by lighting up your headquarters for the evening in your corporate colours?

Contact us for more information or to discuss how we can support you over the coming 12 months as we transition back to live events.

We end our Luton St Patrick's Festival 2021, with what for us is a symbol of hope for the future 💚

Our building was lit by BT Events, a local company that does the staging, lighting and sound for our annual Festival. They came this evening and did this as a gift to us - a hugely generous gesture after they, like so many in the arts and cultural sector, have had such a challenging year!

We can't thank them enough, and with this symbol of turning our building green, we reflect on our hopes for the coming year!

We hope...

☘ We will be back with our much-loved parade with all of you in it!

☘ That the venues and festivals will open, and the bands will play again!

☘ That the Irish dancers will grace the stages, and the World Championships will return!

☘ That we will all come together again, most likely in the wind and the rain, but the craic will be mighty!

We're still standing strong after a year of the unknown, you can't keep the Irish down 💪

is now at Red Alert to raise awareness of the UK’s 1,000,000 highly skilled industry professionals, all of whom have had no work for the past four months with little likelihood of restarting until Spring 2021.

Our industry includes a huge supply chain ranging from production, audio, lighting and video, to logistics, planning, transportation, and some of the world’s leading technology manufacturers.

Without additional support for the supply chain, the UK is in danger of losing its global position as a world leader in world class events. Moreover, all of our incredible creatives and technicians could lose their livelihoods for good.

We are calling for meaningful support from the Government until the industry is allowed to operate in a way that is not limited by social distancing policies including:

1. Grants – not loans – made available to businesses in the events supply chain

2. Furlough scheme extended until the industry is back to work

3. Extension of the self-employment scheme, tailored towards the industry

The industry which we know and love was one of the first to go and will be one of the last to come back in a commercially viable form - not necessarily to make a profit, but for companies to just stand still.

As an industry, we are incredibly risk averse; looking after not only those who are at work but the hundreds of thousands of visitors who come to the events we work on - we estimate there were over 150,000 visitors to sites which we were providing infrastructure and management to last year alone.

Whilst we'd all like to be back on site and providing entertainment to these hundreds of thousands of people, we understand that it's not safe at the moment for mass gatherings to take place.

As an industry, we are calling for extended support for those companies, freelancers and members of staff, who, through no fault of their own found themselves in March with all of their work for the year cancelled. These same companies, members of staff and freelancers are now finding themselves with the prospect of no meaningful work until summer 2021.

When it's safe then but until then, we need support to ensure there is still music to come back to.
