“We want to change the world in a positive way, powered by intelligent autonomous systems.” - Founder & CEO

At SkyBound, automated drone operations are about more than putting a drone in the sky.

They depend on the systems around it: the control centre, resilient infrastructure, operational software, AI-enabled intelligence, and the ability to connect live information with the teams who need it, often vast distances away.

We are already active in some of the UK’s most complex airspaces, supporting critical national infrastructure with capabilities that enable faster response, continuous awareness, and more confident decision-making.

This is how we are building the future of aerial intelligence.

How many incidents go unresolved because security teams can’t respond quickly enough?

Here is an insight into a recent flight that started off as a scheduled training flight and quickly turned into a live op when our system located genuine trespassers. What followed was a real-world, automated response. Working alongside on-site security, we monitored the situation, capturing evidence for police, and saw the individuals leave the site shortly after. This is one of many incidents where training flights have become real unexpectedly. In fact, we have saved 2 lives from missions that started as mere training flights.

With an average response time of 1 min 40 seconds, SkyBound systems are already operating across the UK in some of the most complex airspaces, supporting the safety and security of critical national infrastructure.

Real-time aerial intelligence, managed from our 24/7 control centre. No blind spots. No fixed angles. No delay. From trespass detection to time-critical response, this is rapid response trusted at scale.

At SkyBound Rescuer, we’ve been busy restructuring the team to build the best foundations for our scale-up plans. The first very exciting team announcement is that we now have a C-Suite!

Meet Jackie Wilson (on the right), our Chief Operations Officer (COO). Jackie joined SkyBound over a year ago as our Technical Manager, and quickly became more than that. Using her extensive experience as a Programme Manager, Jackie brought structure and organisation to every department across the company, helping everyone to better achieve their targets - including myself. Congrats Jackie 🤩

Meet Piotr (on the left), our Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Piotr has been working on our software as a contractor for almost a year and fell in love with SkyBound. Piotr has decades of development experience, specialising in web applications, computer vision, 3D, AI/ML, and more. Piotr has been CTO for startups to multi national scale ups, to dev work for Tech Giants like Meta. Congrats Piotr 🤩

If you’d like to join Piotr’s team, we are on the hunt for a full stack developer! If you’re interested, please send your CV to [email protected] 😎

As SkyBound Rescuer were doing our daily flights, we were shocked to see this just across the river from us, but we were grateful to see the fire service performing such a great job containing the fire and preventing it from getting worse.

Luckily we had our drone to hand, able to view the scene from a distance, actually giving us great footage to think about and use towards testing!

CEO's Fact of the Week:The SkyBound Network is 8 times more accurate than a manual SAR drone team.

Yes, you read that right. In a recent trail we were 100% accurate in finding a MISPER in contrast to the 12.5% accuracy of a normal drone team. We were also 2.5 hours faster.

We think it's clear to see what the SBN can do for public safety!

Why the red jacket? We use a red neoprene cover on our SAR drones for a number of reasons.
1. The red echoes the SAR red that foot teams and lifeguards use.
2. The Neoprene adds some extra weather protection.
3. It's easier to spot against a grey/blue sky background, enabling us to see the orientation of the drone from further away, thus allowing us to fly further.

Head of Flight Ops - Paul giving his hardware talk. The M30T is a great workhorse of a drone in the commercial industry. Which is why we look forward to using it at SkyBound Rescuer!

CEO's Fact of the Week:It can take up to an hour for air support to respond to an incident. In fact, according to HMICFRS, the worst average response time is experienced by Cumbria Constabulary, which is 66 minutes.

When time is crucial in emergencies, whether it be a search for a missing person or a cardiac arrest victim, the current response times aren't adequate. In a recent trail, The SkyBound Network response time was 8 minutes, and we're only getting faster.
