According to the Institute for Employment Studies (IES), the UK’s employment gap between people with and without health limitations is amongst the widest in the EU 🤒
The Office for National Statistics (ONS) reported that 2.8 million people in the UK were not working due to long-term sickness between December 2023 and February 2024.
The Covid pandemic affected ill-health unemployment across Europe but other countries have bounced back, so where is the UK falling down?
The IES have suggested that good HR, strong support, and evidence based interventions could really help UK organisations with ill-health.
