Financial website Forexlive commented on the German Gfk Consumer Confidence Index for September: Soaring energy prices continue to push German consumer confidence to new lows, as German households prepare for possible soaring electricity bills. GfK noted that concerns about a sharp rise in energy costs in the coming months are forcing many households to take precautionary measures to set aside money for future energy bills.
