CHANEL has acquired Charvet , the 188 year old shirtmaker on Place Vendôme and the oldest of its kind in France.

The deal secures Charvet’s independence and craftsmanship within Chanel’s network and gives the house a defined name in menswear alongside its own in womenswear. It follows years of Chanel investing in artisanal workshops, from Barrie to Maison Michel to Goossens, and signals where luxury conglomerates are placing long-term value: heritage and rare skills.

Louis Vuitton has taken its craftsmanship into new territory.

In collaboration with Singer Vehicle Design, the specialist known for reimagining classic Porsche 911s, the House has created two fully bespoke cars, unveiled at Monterey Car Week, featuring custom interiors, luggage and a removable dashboard clock inspired by the Tambour watch.
