Meadowfields Care Home

Meadowfields Care Home Meadowfields is a 65 bed en-suite care home in the picturesque area of Great Haywood Meadowfields Care Home was purchased by Northgate Healthcare in March 2015.

A major refurbishment program has begun, all aspects of the home are being looked at with a new management structure put into place. All areas of the care home will be tastefully brought up to our high standard. Meadowfields Care Home is a 65 bed en-suite care home situated in the picturesque area of Great Haywood, Stafford. Situated between Rugeley and Stafford (roughly 5 miles each way), it has

lovely views of the surrounding fields and countryside. We encourage visits to see the quality of the care that residents receive while residing in our homes, the care manager will gladly show you round the home and explain what we can offer. Appointments do not need to be made, but we cannot guarantee the manager will be available due to prior appointments. A member of the senior team will be able to show you round and answer your questions.

We have had a lovely day today!

This morning Toni took Doreen and Kath for a trip to Wolsely garden centre where we managed to avoid the rain to have a lovely cuppa and some beautiful cake! We had a lovely look around the store before heading back home for lunch!

This afternoon we had a visit from some staff from the Ancient High House in Stafford who came and told us about the building and some of its history. We also got to make some lavender bags! We really enjoyed our talk and looking at the items that were brought along.

We have also spent the day celebrating Ruth's birthday! Happy birthday 🎂 we hope you have had a wonderful day!

The weather has been a bit all over the place today but inside we've been having a great time!

This morning was our fitness session with Jo! We always enjoy our keep fit sessions!

This afternoon we have been celebrating Jean's birthday! Happy birthday 🎂 we hope you've had a great day!

We have also been spending some time doing arts and crafts and some balloon games

The weather has improved today which means we had a lovely trip out to canalside for a coffee and some cake. Toni, Bill and Marlene had a lovely time looking at the boats!

We also had some games of bingo in both lounges this morning which we always enjoy.

This afternoon in preparation of the anniversary of D-Day tomorrow we have had our monthly cinema experience. Downstairs enjoyed The Darkest Hour and upstairs enjoyed The Sound of Music - accompanied by cups of tea and some popcorn 🍿

Entry is £5 per person. Residents and children under 12 go free! Price includes your drink, some nibbles and a bingo strip. Extra strips can be purchased at £2 each!

We will be starting at 2pm and finishing at 4!

We have had a fun couple of days here at Meadowfields!

Yesterday we had a change of plans in the morning due to the weather but we spent an enjoyable time doing arts and crafts instead followed by some parachute and balloon games in the afternoon.

Today we have had a lovely quiz and then this afternoon we have enjoyed a cheesy treat for world cheese day!

We also had our resident Gordon entertain us with his harmonica for a little while 🎶

We started off the morning with some manicures 💅

Followed by a visit by Tom Wenlock who gave us an hour of tunes and dancing 🕺 🎶 we really love when Tom comes to visit us and he will be joining us for some of our summer event!

Wow have we had a hot day today!
We made the most of the cooler morning by enjoying some time in the garden. We listened to music, did some colouring and enjoyed plenty of conversations. ☀️

This afternoon we kept cool by relaxing indoors and doing some manicures.
