Right now, your competitors are showing up on social media more than you, and that alone could be the reason they are getting more enquiries. Not because they are better at what they do, but because they are more visible, and visibility plays a huge part in how people choose who to work with. When someone sees a business regularly, they start to recognise the name, trust builds, and when they need that service, that is the business they think of first.

That is why consistency matters so much, even if the content itself is simple. You do not need thousands of followers or complicated strategies, you just need to be seen regularly by the right people. Social media is one of the cheapest ways to keep your business in front of potential customers, especially compared to hiring someone in-house or spending heavily on ads. If staying consistent is where you struggle, I can take that off your plate and keep your business active online, so feel free to drop me a message.

There’s a real sense of frustration that comes when you know your organisation is doing good work, but the funding just isn’t coming in.

You see other projects getting support, you know there are opportunities out there, but for whatever reason your applications aren’t hitting the way they need to. It can start to feel like you’re stuck, and over time that can impact what you’re able to deliver and how confident you feel about the future of your organisation. I’ve seen this happen more times than I can count, and in most cases it isn’t because the work isn’t good enough, it’s because it hasn’t been communicated clearly enough in the application.

The positive side of that is it’s fixable, and often much quicker than people expect once the right approach is taken. When an application clearly explains the need, the plan, and the outcome in a way that’s easy to understand, it gives funders a reason to say yes rather than a reason to hesitate. That shift is what opens doors and brings funding in, and it’s something I now focus on after going through it myself and helping raise over £500k through bids. If you’re tired of putting in the effort and not seeing the return, don’t let your organisation slowly run out of options when funding is available, I’m here to write the bids so you can keep supporting your community.

One of the biggest myths around social media is that you need to be posting all the time for it to work, which is why so many business owners end up doing nothing at all. They think if they cannot commit to posting daily, there is no point starting, so it gets pushed to the bottom of the list again and again. In reality, most small businesses would see a big improvement just by posting a few times a week consistently.

It is not about volume, it is about visibility. Staying in front of people regularly, showing what you do, and reminding them you are there when they need your service. That alone builds familiarity and trust over time, which is what leads to enquiries. It does not have to be complicated, and it definitely does not need to take over your life. If you want your social media sorted without the stress of doing it yourself, I create simple, effective content that keeps your business showing up, so message me if you want to get started.

One thing that often gets overlooked in funding applications is structure, and it plays a bigger role than people realise. You can have a great idea, a real need in your community, and a passionate team behind it, but if the application jumps around, lacks flow, or doesn’t build a clear picture, it becomes difficult for the reader to follow. Funders aren’t just looking at what you’re doing, they’re looking at how well you’ve thought it through, and structure is what shows that. A well-structured application guides someone through your project in a way that makes sense, answers their questions as they go, and leaves them feeling confident about where their money is going.

Without that structure, even strong projects can come across as unclear or unconvincing, which is where a lot of applications fall down. It’s not always about rewriting everything, sometimes it’s about organising it properly, tightening the message, and making sure each section does its job. I’ve worked on applications where just improving the structure has completely changed how it reads and how it’s received. If your applications aren’t getting the results you expected, it’s worth looking at how they’re put together, because that’s often the missing piece. Don’t let a lack of structure hold your organisation back, I’m here to write the bids so you can keep moving forward.

A quiet social media page is costing more small businesses work than they realise, because people naturally assume that if you are not posting, you are not busy or not active. That might not be true at all, but perception matters, and when someone is choosing between two businesses, they will often go with the one that looks more visible and up to date. It is not always about who is better, it is about who is easier to trust in that moment.

Social media is essentially your shop window, and if it looks empty or outdated, it puts people off before you even get the chance to speak to them. The good news is, it does not take much to change that. Consistent, simple content can completely shift how your business is seen online and help you attract more enquiries over time. If your page does not reflect how good your business actually is, I can help you fix that with content that keeps you active and visible, so feel free to reach out.

There is a real pressure that comes with funding when you’re running a charity or community project, and it’s something that people don’t always talk about openly. You’re trying to deliver a service, support people, manage day to day operations, and at the same time you’re expected to put together detailed funding applications that can ultimately decide whether your project continues or not. It’s a lot, and when you’re already stretched, it’s easy for the quality of an application to drop, not because you don’t care, but because you simply don’t have the time or headspace to get it right.

That’s where a lot of good organisations get stuck, because they’re doing everything they can on the ground, but the funding side isn’t coming together as strongly as it needs to. I’ve been in that position, and I understand how quickly things can feel uncertain when funding isn’t secured, but I’ve also seen how things change when the right application is put forward. There is funding available for organisations doing genuine work in their communities, but it needs to be presented properly to unlock it. If you’re feeling that pressure at the moment, don’t let it build to the point where things start to slip, I’m here to write the bids so you can focus on what you do best.

Most small businesses don’t fail on social media because they are bad at it, they fail because they overthink it and end up posting nothing at all. There is this idea that every post needs to be perfect, professionally designed, or somehow go viral, and because of that, people delay posting again and again until their page goes completely quiet. Meanwhile, potential customers are still searching, still scrolling, and still choosing businesses that are simply showing up more consistently.

In reality, social media works best when it is simple, clear, and regular. A few solid posts each week showing your work, your services, or what you offer is more than enough to build trust and keep your business front of mind. It does not need to be complicated, and it certainly does not need to take hours out of your day. If you want your business to look active without adding more to your workload, I create straightforward, branded content that does the job properly, so drop me a message if that would help.

One of the biggest pitfalls I see in funding applications is people trying to say too much and ending up saying very little. There’s this idea that more detail equals a stronger application, but what actually happens is the message gets lost in long explanations, repeated points, and unnecessary wording that makes it harder for someone to understand what’s really being asked for. Funders are reading multiple applications, often back to back, and if yours isn’t clear and easy to follow, it becomes work for them, and when something feels like work, it’s much easier to move on to the next one.

What makes a strong application isn’t complexity, it’s clarity, structure, and being able to quickly show who you’re helping, what you’re doing, and what will change as a result. When that comes across properly, it builds confidence and makes it easier for someone to back your project. I’ve worked on applications that didn’t need rewriting from scratch, they just needed simplifying and tightening up, and the difference that makes is huge. If you’re putting time into funding applications but not seeing results, it’s worth looking at how the message is coming across, because that’s usually where things are falling down. Don’t let your organisation miss out on funding it could be securing, I’m here to write the bids so you can keep your work going.

Around 80% of consumers now use social media to check out a business before deciding who to go with, and if your page is inactive or inconsistent, you are losing potential customers without even realising it. You might be busy, doing great work, and keeping existing clients happy, but from the outside looking in, a quiet page makes it look like nothing is happening. People don’t see your diary, they see your last post, and if that was weeks ago, they will often move on to someone who looks more active and reliable.

The truth is, it doesn’t have to be complicated, expensive, or time-consuming to fix this. You don’t need to post every day or become some sort of content creator, you just need to show up consistently with clear, simple content that reflects your business properly. It is also far cheaper than hiring someone in-house and takes the pressure off you completely. If you know your social media isn’t where it should be but you don’t have the time to fix it, I create branded content that keeps your business visible and bringing in work, so feel free to message me.
