Key Responsibilities
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Fire and Security Engineer. The Fire and Security Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day tasks related to:
-the installation, maintenance and service of fire alarm/CCTV/access control/intruder alarm/DDA systems
-participating in on-call rotation (in the future)
-addressing client enquiries regarding fire and security systems promptly
-attending site visits with clients, based on their requirements
-the role is field based, covering multiple sites
-identifying opportunities for system additions, in line with customer requirements and regulations
Mandatory Qualifications/Skills
-Knowledge of fire systems/emergency lighting (addressable/conventional systems)
-Skilled in installation, servicing and fault finding (across fire/CCTV/access control and intruder systems)
-Ability to read technical diagrams and blueprints
-Able to effectively communicate with clients to diagnose and resolve faults
-Able to work well independently as well as part of a team
-Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills
-Strong problem solving skills
-2+ years experience working within the fire and security sector
-Must hold a full UK valid driving licence
-Successful candidates will be subject to a DBS check
Desirable Qualifications/Experience
FIA Fundamentals in Installation, Maintenance/Commissioning
IPAF licence
PASMA certified
Experience of working on many open protocol fire alarm systems, such as MX Pro 4/5, Kentec Syncro, Ziton, Morley, Ctec etc.
Experience of working on closed protocol systems, such as GENT, Notifier etc.
Experience of working on CCTV systems, such as Hik Vision etc.
Experience of working on Intruder systems, such as Texecom, Galaxy, Pyronix etc.
Experience of working on Door Access systems, such as Paxton, PAC, Hik Vision etc
Salary: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year (dependent on qualifications and experience)
