A very proud mum moment - Jago graduated from Leeds Uni with a first class Honours degree. And, he’s been recommended to publish his dissertation as an academic paper - wow! 🤩

Uni life and his placement abroad have both served Jago well. I’m blown away by his consistency, hard work, and dedication. And that he’s putting himself out there to make his mark on the world.

Jago’s next adventures? A year’s teaching placement in France 🇫🇷 from September.

And a month travelling 🎒 in South America starting next week.

Until then, we still have plenty of time to continue celebrating with him 🥂

When I was a teenager, I bought a Ford Capri Mark I, like the one in the pic. I fell in love with my rusty heap of metal, even when bits started to drop off it

My next-door neighbour Colin, a mechanic, was forever being called on to fix various things as the went wrong. “Don’t fall in love with your cars - it will cost you a fortune,” he said

As the years went by, I gradually upgraded. Still in love with my cars? Of course!

It’s the same with your business. When you first start out, you’re wet behind the ears, full of enthusiasm and just want to get going. Your business model is far from perfect, but it gets you off the blocks and onto the track. It’s a Mark I model

I truly believe in kaizen; continuous improvement. To improve your business performance, to stay relevant and at the head of the race, you need to track, measure, improve, make tweaks and upgrade as you go. Improved results will help keep the enjoyment and love in it for you

Taking time to put some exciting plans in place.

There’s no way I could possibly have planned for the twists and turns of this year, but I’m a firm believer in taking your dreams and goals and turning them into actionable plans. You have to know where you’re going, right? How else will you know when you’re there?

Tell me, are you a planner or do you fly by the seat of your pants?
