When specifying a purge and pressurisation system, the focus is often on certification, enclosure size, or installation.
But one operating cost is frequently overlooked:
✔️Instrument air consumption.
A purge system doesn't just use air during commissioning. It also consumes air to maintain enclosure pressurisation throughout operation. An inefficient system can increase compressed air demand, leading to higher energy costs over its lifetime.
