SK carried out a winter building inspection this year and found a pile of old droppings. So, we decided to return for some summer activity surveys and this week we found this roosting brown long eared bat.
During the same survey, we also discovered a common pipistrelle maternity roost, which had left no external signs. This is the value of activity surveys undertaken at the correct time of year.
