Ardour Security Group Ltd is looking for professional SIA Licensed Operatives to join our team for an event in Exeter at the end of June.

📍 Location: Exeter
📅 Dates: 25th–28th June
🏕️ Camping: On-site camping available
🍽️ Meals: 2 meals provided each day
🛡️ Requirements: Valid SIA Licence required
⏰ Shifts: Vary between 8-12hrs each day.

This is a great opportunity to work as part of a professional security team at a busy event, with on-site facilities provided.

Some of the team supporting SES Bristol Ltd in the pit this festival season!

Key qualities for this role include:

Excellent crowd observation- spotting signs of crowd surges, crushing, distress, aggression, intoxication, or medical issues before they escalate.

Strong communication skills – being able to speak clearly with attendees, stage management, medical teams, and fellow operatives, often in a noisy environment.

Calm under pressure – remaining composed during crowd movement, artist arrivals, emergencies, or confrontations.

Good judgement – knowing when to intervene, when to de-escalate verbally, and when to request additional support.

Physical fitness and alertness – pit work can involve long periods standing, assisting crowd-surfers, helping casualties over barriers, and responding quickly to incidents.

Professionalism and approachability – treating members of the public respectfully while still enforcing venue rules.

Teamwork – pit security is rarely an individual role; effective operatives work closely with supervisors, medical staff, stewards, and production personnel.

Knowledge of procedures – understanding evacuation routes, emergency plans, radio protocols, and the venue's operating procedures.

Situational awareness – continuously monitoring both the crowd and what's happening on stage, as incidents can develop rapidly in either direction.

Customer care mindset – many pit interventions involve helping people who are dehydrated, anxious, lost, or struggling in the crowd rather than dealing with criminal behaviour.

What an afternoon at Yeovil ABC’s Brawl at the Hall on Saturday! 🥊

A huge well done to all the talented boxers who stepped into the ring and gave it their all, it was a great atmosphere from the first bell to the last, with some fantastic bouts and incredible support from the crowd.

Respect to all the clubs, coaches, officials, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters who helped make the show such a success. Events like this wouldn’t be possible without you.

Last Saturday, we provided security services at Glastonbury Town Hall for the Dr Meaker event.

With around 300 people in attendance, the night was a great success. Our team worked hard to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, and it was great to be part of such an event.

A big thank you to the organisers and attendees for making it such a great night. We look forward to supporting more events like this in the future!
