New arrivals. Sometimes, the damage is done by the artist himself -- in this case, the artist was not satisfied of his own work at first.

Another Franco-Belgian work on paper that I have restored this week -- the original artwork was damaged by humidity and had mould (fungi) present and some yellowing from light exposure. After carefully removal of the mould by hand, we used chemical cleaning and flattened and restored the paper fibres.

Before/after. This oil painting on canvas has had its varnishing greatly damaged with time, exposure to sun and/or smoke, and required careful peeling of that layer without damaging the paint underneath -- a new coating has been applied afterwards.

Before and after -- this is the work on an original Franco-Belgian comic, where captions have been stuck on top of the original text, and required careful removal, fix the discolouration under the sticker and remove the acidic residue from the glue.
