Nixon Executive Support

Nixon Executive Support Multi-award winning Nixon Executive Support offers c-suite calibre business support without the overheads of a traditional EA

Nixon Executive Support is a virtual offering, providing administrative help without the overheads of having a traditional EA/PA. My aim with every client is to become an integral part of their working life and be the person they can confidently delegate the administrative tasks to that so often become the bottleneck in their to-do lists, allowing them in turn to concentrate on the bigger picture

for their own business. Communication is key in any partnership, but even more so in the 'virtual' world and as such I ensure that each client's brief and style is understood quickly in order to keep communication open and easy for all parties, with daily/weekly check ins either by Skype or phone to keep on-track. Please feel free to take a look at my website to learn a little more about how I might be able to help.

I’ve never been comfortable blowing my own trumpet and am definitely not great at bigging myself up, but DAMN RIGHT WE WON!!!

I can’t tell you how proud I am to be part of such a phenomenal group of business owners who show up every day, come hell or high water, to deliver first-class support to the brilliant Q5 team and each other while we work as associates for Personally Virtual

Led by our illustrious leader Kathy who herself won ‘VA of the year with large team’ and her Team PV Q5 right-hand-woman Vicki (or as I like to call her ‘bruv’) I was brought in as team member #2 nearly 6 years ago. I’ve since watched in awe as the team has changed, shifted and grown into the powerhouse it is today. We each come with different career backgrounds, styles of working and our own stand-alone business demands along with personal situations and pressures that often mean we need to think on our feet fast to ensure both the team and our client feel supported at all times.

I will be forever indebted to Kathy, Vicki, Fran, Lisa, Shannon, Tamsin, Jennie, Sophie, Tori and Jess for all they’ve done for me this past year…whether they’ve realised it or not.

So HELL YES we won. So proud of you guys. xx

VA'ing can at times be a pretty solitary existence and while I adore my 'solo' clients, it's the group of incredible VAs I get to work alongside every day supporting Q5 who have just been told we're *ahem FINALISTS for 'VA team of the year' BABY 🤩 that 100% keep my sanity going. The support we give each other in good times and bad is genuinely next level and I'm deeply honoured to be part of this amazing gang.

You girls rock my world with your support, kindness, love and gifs when I've needed it most and if we don't win, I demand a recount.

And a MASSIVE shout out to our illustrious leader Kathy, head honcho of Personally Virtual, not only for curating this team but also for getting nominated for "VA of the Year with Large Team", alongside an old Team PV Q5 member Holly Copsey, head honcho of Virtually Priceless...can you both stop being so goddamn inspiring now, please? You're making the rest of us look bad! (love you guys and good luck ###)

I’ve spent the last 24 hours desperately trying to come up with a post that somehow does justice to how unbelievably proud I am that NES turned 8 yesterday (where on earth did that go??), without turning it into a long-winded, gag-inducing humble-brag, but all I can think is ‘damn it – I missed International Margarita Day’ so here’s a gif that speaks to my core after a busy but brilliant week working with my wonderful clients and dreamy VA colleagues.

Here’s to the next 8 years…and to the margarita I’m about to make.

A MASSIVE congratulations to the incredible Vicki Doudelle for winning VA Associate of the Year at last night's Strategic PA Network Awards.

To work alongside her as part of the '2022 PA Team of the Year' winning Team PV Q5, is to watch in awe as she simultaneously supports Q5 to a level that's hard to beat, as well as our illustrious leader Kathy Soulsby (Personally Virtual), helping keep the team on the straight and narrow with good humour and just the right amount of whip-cracking.

The Doud is truly a force to be reckoned with and I'm absolutely over the moon for her. BLOODY NICE ON BRUV!!!!!!!

No award for me but to be honest, being listed as a finalist against some exceptional VAs was all the honour I needed - HUGE congrats to all the winners last night. Very proud to be part of such a supportive and collaborative industry. Here's to 2024!

And for this year's NES Facebook post...
..I'm a VA of the Year finalist, baby!!

I've worked bloody hard to get where I am today and despite the ups and downs of owning my own business ranging from the sublime to the ridiculous, I am incredibly proud of the service and support I provide my wonderful clients both past and present and I am lucky to be able to say I genuinely love what I do.

I'm under no illusions - it's a big category full of incredible VAs and I will be practicing my gracious loser face in the mirror so for now please humour me while I bask in the glory of being nominated (itself a total surprise!) and getting through to the final round.

As the saying goes 'it takes a village' and there are a lot of people to thank for keeping this idiot on the straight and narrow...most of the time...if I win, get ready for an Oscar-worthy name check-a-thon! xx

Absolutely shocking state of affairs that this is my first post on the NES page in just under a year but let's not dwell on that right now, eh? We've all been busy etc etc.

However, in case anyone has the time/inclination, I'm going to be on the one and only Jackie Groundsell's 1230 TWC radio show at just after 1430 today...come join us for what promises to be a fun filled 30 mins, most likely with me waffling on and poor Jackie regretting ever inviting me to join her! xx

I love my direct clients and am very proud of my current status of fully booked but with two of them, while we have a great relationship 1-2-1, I’m the only ‘support staff’ they have. As you can imagine (and as I warn any prospective VAs I speak to), it can get pretty lonely when you work for yourself, by yourself, day in day out.

I therefore feel like I’ve hit the jackpot to also be part of a team of likeminded, professional fellow business owner ‘associates’, under the incredible leadership of Kathy at Personally Virtual for an end client so dreamy I half-joke they will have to be prized out of my cold dead hands.

An excellent article by a brilliant friend and the best Lead VA you can ask for

Learn with Lucy – the number five:

1. Punch traditionally has 5 ingredients – booze, water, sugar, lemon juice and spices, and the name punch comes from the Hindi word for…wait for it…five!

2. According to Wikipedia, the late 90’s/early 00’s boyband and pop sensation 5ive are still performing, although disappointingly only as a 3-piece man-bunned outfit these days…

3. Coco Chanel’s lucky number was 5 – Chanel No. 5 was released on May 5th 1921 (fifth day of the fifth month)

4. National High Five day is on April 20th. The first recorded high five is widely considered to have been at a baseball game back in 1977 – Dodgers vs Astros – when Glenn Burke, a Dodgers Rookie put his hand up as his teammate Dusty Baker crossed home plate after hitting his 30th home run of the season. Baker, not knowing what to do, slapped Burke’s hand in such a way that what we now consider to be a ‘high five’ was born

5. Nixon Executive Support has been officially trading for 5 years (and 1 day…shhh) - high five to that!

Well it obviously goes without saying that 2020 has been a proper doozie for us all and there have been more than a few moments where the dark clouds have most definitely gathered overhead. So to get this testimonial from one of my beloved clients is the icing on the 'I survived' cake and I couldn't be more proud of what I've achieved this year, despite everything.

I know we're not finishing 2020 as we'd necessary like, but I for one am happy to take a hit on full merriment if it means 2021 can be more 'normal' for us all and that those who have struggled this year can hopefully start feeling like they're back in the game again.

Merry Christmas to each and every one of you - we made it!

I’m always a little taken aback when I’m sent pressies from clients, but when it’s wine with an environmental conscience, how could I not do a shout out to the WONDERFUL Prospect Magazine team. I’m so grateful to know and work with such an amazing group of people who, as a Brucie bonus, happen to also produce a genuinely brilliant magazine. If you haven’t picked up a copy yet, I urge you to check it out. Can’t wait to crack open this bad boy (especially knowing it’s doing good for our fishy friends) and toast you all! Cheers!🍷Sea Change Wine
