Hi all! Exciting times are coming …

I may have been quiet posting on here recently but that’s certainly not through lack of work 😊

Business is going really well - I’ve managed to orchestrate the organising and decluttering of a garage, making so much space a car can easily fit in it now 🚘

A study that’s never had any proper organisation for several decades has been almost completely decluttered and organised, removing a whole filing cabinet and systemising the remaining paperwork so it’s easier to find.

I’ve completed a couple more courses and am continuing with my continuing professional development on a weekly basis.

And I’m looking at a new website and a new business name!

I’m completing my final cleans today so I can fully embrace my new career 😊

Thank you so much to everyone who follows me on here. If you have any questions, no matter how big or small, pop them on here or send me a message and I’ll be more than happy to help - when it comes to my passion, it will be hard to feel ‘bothered’ by it 😂

ADULTING.
Not glamorous. Not aesthetic. Just tiny routines that stop life unravelling 😅

For Mental Health Week, I’ve been thinking a lot about how much calmer I feel when I have simple structure in place.

Not strict schedules.
Not perfection.
Just small routines that reduce overwhelm.

So I’m trying something called “bookending”:
☀️ 20 minutes in the morning for admin, messages and planning
🌙 20 minutes in the evening to reset and prep for tomorrow

Some people call routines boring.
I call it adulting 😆

As someone with ADHD/autism, I’ve realised routines aren’t about being rigid — they’re about protecting my energy and reducing decision fatigue.

And honestly? A calmer home helps too.

That’s why Benfleet Home Reset isn’t just about decluttering and organising spaces… it’s also about creating simple systems and routines you can actually stick to 💛

One of the unexpected parts of helping people declutter and organise is the memories and treasures that resurface along the way ✨

Yesterday, while working through my dad’s study, we found an old school report of mine from 1984.

Reading it as an adult — now diagnosed with ADHD and autism — was honestly fascinating and emotional in equal measure.

There were repeated comments about:
• slow written work
• careless mistakes
• lacking confidence
• needing to persevere
• finding subjects difficult despite trying hard

At the time, nobody recognised neurodivergence in quiet, well-behaved girls like me.

It was a real reminder that paperwork boxes and forgotten drawers often hold far more than “clutter”. They hold stories, memories, family history, and sometimes missing pieces of ourselves.

When we declutter, we’re not just sorting objects — we’re uncovering lives 💛

It also made me wonder… what hidden treasures are sitting quietly in your paperwork piles waiting to be rediscovered?

If you’ve got some bits for charity but your donations are still hanging around, here’s an online local charity who may be able to help.

These guys collected 15, yes 15, boxes of books from my mum and dad.

So I thought I’d give them a try. I didn’t want to recommend anyone without trying them first myself.

On their website is a list of things they can and can’t collect.

When booking, there weren’t a load of dates but one of the good things about them is you can actually leave your boxes on the doorstep on the day of collection.

Everything has to fit into boxes - they can’t take loose big items.

And boxes need to have their name on if leaving them outside.

On Thursday I left my boxes outside and they were collected with no problem. I also got an email confirming collection.

I also booked a collection for a client in Southend on the same day - I was there when they turned up. The guy was polite and happy to come into the apartment to collect them. He carried all the boxes away himself.

You can choose your charity or let the company choose.

A great way to gain some breathing space in your home and help charities, all without even leaving your home 💛

✨ Hello May ✨

I don’t know about you, but May always feels like a bit of a fresh start for me… lighter mornings, longer evenings, and a little nudge to reset things (just for a change lol!) 🌸

I’ve been listening to some books by Gretchen Rubin lately, and they’ve really got me thinking about how our homes should actually feel — not just look tidy, but feel like us.

Less “perfect”, more personal 💛
Less pressure, more comfort.
More of the things that make you smile when you walk into a room.

So this month, I’m focusing on small changes that make home life easier and calmer — nothing overwhelming, just gentle resets where they’re needed.

I'm starting on my kitchen this weekend.

✨ A recycling system that actually works (why oh why is there always so much of it?!)
✨ Making our island feel a bit more intentional
✨ And finally finishing the Cricut stickers on my cupboards

I’d love to know…
What are your plans for May? 🌼

Are you resetting, decluttering, resting… or just getting through the busy weeks?

If May feels like your month for a reset too, my Home Reset sessions are always here when you need a fresh start 💛

I’ve been connecting with some of the other APDO members and my trainer recently, and something really stood out to me.

She was featured on The Art of Decluttering podcast talking about the connection between clutter and wellbeing — and it really clicked with how I see the work I do.

One of the things she said (and it’s backed by research) is that it’s not actually the amount of stuff we have that affects how we feel…
👉 it’s our relationship with it.

Your home isn’t just a space — it’s an extension of you. Your life, your memories, your identity.

And when things no longer reflect who you are now, they can start to feel heavy, overwhelming, or just “not right” — even if everything looks fine on the surface.

That’s why a Home Reset isn’t about getting rid of everything or making your home look perfect.
It’s about creating a space that feels like you again 💛

That’s where the real change happens.

Hi all 👋

Thought I’d do a little check in as I’ve been quiet on here this week.

I’ve been busy finalising a whole house move to Cyprus, helping my wonderful mum friend who helps others out far more than she accepts, and … drum roll … I’ve done the first week of my APDO official course 😀 I’ve also booked onto another APDO course AND become an official member so watch this space! New website coming soon!

Have an awesome week 💛

Today’s Home Reset: The Garden Shed 🔧✨

This is such a common one…

A practical, hardworking household
Busy days
And a space that slowly becomes a dumping ground because there’s just no time or energy left at the end of it

That’s exactly what had happened here.

Tools had been put away wherever they fit, which meant:
• Duplicates being bought unnecessarily
• Items getting lost
• Broken bits and packaging building up
• And everyday jobs becoming harder than they need to be

Sound familiar?

Today we reset it.

We decluttered everything right back — removing broken items, duplicates, and anything no longer needed. A big pile went to rubbish, plus more for charity and selling.

Then we reorganised the space so it actually works:
• Everything has a clear, logical home
• Tools are easy to see and grab
• Floor space is usable again
• And the lawnmower can be taken out without folding it down first 🙌

There were lots of “I’ve been looking for that!” moments — which is always a good sign 😊

This is what a Home Reset is all about:
✔ Less overwhelm
✔ Less wasted time
✔ Spaces that work with you, not against you

Because when life is busy, your home shouldn’t make things harder.

If you’ve got a space like this (shed, cupboard, spare room, garage…) that’s slowly become stressful to even open…

I can help 💛

REAL HOME RESET 💛

This one was about so much more than “tidying”.

My client has a full, demanding life and low energy levels, which means everyday tasks can quickly start to feel overwhelming.

So instead of trying to do everything, we focused on making things easier to live with.

There were moments of walking down memory lane, some gentle decluttering, and a lot of moving things into places that actually make sense for how Bella lives day to day.

We created:
✨ clearer categories
✨ easier access
✨ less visual overwhelm
✨ simple systems that don’t require loads of energy to maintain

Because that’s the goal — not a perfect home, but a home that supports you.

By the end, things felt calmer, lighter, and more manageable… and that’s what matters most 💛

Every home is different. Every person is different.

We build systems that work for you.

Creating calm from chaos, one step at a time
