⭐ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Another lovely review from a recent first aid course!

It’s always fantastic to hear that our training not only provides the knowledge and practical skills people need, but also helps staff feel comfortable, supported and confident while learning.

Creating a relaxed environment where people can ask questions, get involved and share their own experiences is something that’s really important to us. ❤️

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, it genuinely means a lot!

🚨 Benedict’s Law is now in force

If you’re a state funded primary or secondary school in England, have you got your allergy and anaphylaxis training in place?

From September 2026, schools have new statutory responsibilities around allergy safety, including ensuring staff have the knowledge and training needed to recognise and respond to anaphylaxis.

Having confident, trained staff could make a life-saving difference when a severe allergic reaction happens.

If you’re not sure whether your school has everything in place, First Class Business Solutions can help.

We can support your school with practical, engaging allergy and anaphylaxis training designed to give staff the confidence to respond in an emergency.

📢 Attention Schools!

There are important changes coming from September 2026 following the Department for Education's new statutory guidance on supporting children with medical conditions and allergies, which delivers the key elements of Benedict's Law.

Schools will now be expected to:

✅ Have a whole school allergy policy.
✅ Train all staff in allergy awareness.
✅ Keep spare adrenaline auto injectors (AAIs) for emergency use.
✅ Have Individual Healthcare Plans (IHPs) for pupils with allergies.

With allergies becoming increasingly common, ensuring staff know how to recognise and respond to an emergency has never been more important.

At First Class Business Solutions, we deliver practical, face to face Allergy Awareness and Anaphylaxis training for schools across Essex ans Suffolk, helping staff build the confidence to act quickly when every second counts.

If your school is looking to prepare for the new guidance before the start of the academic year, please get in touch.

☀️ The sun is shining... which means BBQ season is in full swing! 🔥

Before you get the burgers on, take a quick look around your garden.

Is your barbecue:
✔️ On a solid, non-flammable surface?
✔️ Away from fences, sheds, plants and anything that could easily catch fire?
✔️ Positioned safely away from children and pets?

With the recent hot, dry weather, even a small spark can quickly spread.

A few simple checks mean you can spend less time worrying and more time enjoying the food!

Have a safe and sunny weekend! ☀️

A big thank you to my Tesco Clubcard today... it wasn't collecting points, it was helping remove a bee sting! 🐝🤣

It just goes to show that first aid doesn't always need specialist equipment.

If someone gets stung by a bee, here's what to do:

🐝 If the sting is still in the skin, scrape it away using the edge of a bank card

🧊 Pop a cold compress or wrapped ice pack on the area to help reduce pain and swelling

🚨 Keep an eye out for signs of anaphylaxis such as;
•Difficulty breathing
•Swelling of the face, lips or tongue
•Wheezing

If any of these happen, call 999 immediately. If they have an adrenaline auto injector, help them use it.

Luckily, mine was nothing more than a painful sting and a very useful Clubcard! 😂

You never know when a little bit of first aid knowledge could make all the difference.

No two people learn in exactly the same way… and that's something I always keep in mind when I deliver training.

Some people learn best by watching. Others by listening, taking notes, asking questions or getting involved in practical activities.

That's why my courses are designed to include a variety of learning methods, including:

✅ PowerPoint presentations to support the learning
✅ Practical sessions wherever possible
✅ Whiteboard activities and group discussions
✅ Videos and music to keep everyone engaged
✅ Plenty of opportunities to take notes and photos to refer back to later

My goal is to make every course welcoming, engaging and inclusive, so everyone has the best possible chance of leaving feeling confident in what they've learned.

If you're looking for First Aid or Health & Safety training that's practical, interactive and anything but boring, get in touch!

Women are around 27% less likely to receive CPR from a bystander than men.

Sadly, one of the reasons is that people worry about exposing a woman's chest or touching her inappropriately.

That statistic didn't sit right with me.

So I invested in a female CPR manikin and she now comes to every first aid course I teach.

She always gets people talking, and that's exactly the point.

We discuss:
💚 Where your hands should be placed during CPR.
💚 Why a bra should be removed before using an AED.
💚 Exactly where the AED pads go.
💚 Why saving a life is always more important than worrying about embarrassment.

These conversations help people feel more confident and confidence saves lives.

Let's stop treating b***s as something awkward when someone is fighting for their life.

Please help spread the awareness by sharing this post.

💡 Here's something many businesses don't realise...

Some of the UK's larger training providers use local freelance trainers to deliver their courses.
In fact, I regularly deliver First Aid and Health & Safety training on behalf of some of them! 😊

So before you book with a national provider, ask yourself...

Could I book directly with a trusted local trainer instead?

When you choose First Class Business Solutions, you get:
💚 Competitive prices
🤝 Friendly, personal service
📅 Flexible course dates
📞 Direct contact with your trainer from start to finish
🎓 The same nationally recognised qualification and certificate

You're not compromising on quality. You're simply choosing a local business that genuinely cares about the service it provides.

If you'd like to chat about your training needs, I'd love to hear from you!

🚑 I recently delivered an Emergency First Aid at Work course for a local business in Essex after someone experienced a heart attack at work.

The incident left staff feeling shaken because they didn't feel confident they would have known what to do in those crucial first moments.

It really highlights something important... 💚

So many businesses only think about first aid training after something has happened. But what if the training had already been done? The team would have had the skills and confidence to step in, help and know they were doing the right things while waiting for the ambulance.

We never know when an emergency might happen, but we can choose to be prepared.

⏰ Don't wait until it's too late. Give your team the confidence and skills they need before an emergency happens.
