At Planet People We are lucky enough to work with some fantastic schools and businesses across Devon and beyond to empower people to create a better future for planet and people.

These are some of the things we have been working on recently:

🌍Planet Action Workshops with some wonderful schools in Devon and hugely inspiring young people - litter picking races, pollinator campaigns, tree planting, wildlife gardens, incredible artwork, brilliant questions, extraordinary teamwork, huge imaginations, games to encourage people to interact with nature, excitement for the outdoors. All the good stuff - there's certainly hope for the future!

🌍 Sustainable Foundations Sessions - some great actions coming from inspiring businesses which are starting to hold sustainability closer to thte core of their business. Great ideas, loads learned, ideas sharing and engagement. Strong discussion and positive action!

🌍 Consultancy - We've worked together with Exeter City Futures to support them on their net zero toolkit for communities as well as Above Bounds Theatre Collective to support them on engaging young people with the climate and environmental crisis.

🌍 Developing Resources - We created resources for WWF to accompany the 'Wild Isles' documentary as well as for the Net Zero Visions project and to connect schools with farms in East Devon.

🌍 Meeting People - This is what we like to do best - people fuel us! We've met so many people doing such great things across Devon through meetings, events, webinars and sessions.

🌍Probono work - Bethia and I give time to some great projects including the development of the Devon & Cornwall Sustainable Schools Network which Bethia has launched and the Network for Environmental Educators in Devon which I chair as well as supporting Sustainable Tiverton and the Tiverton Tree Team.

So - we have been working on rather a lot and trying to balance this with our family commitments too - being able to be flexible is something which we are immensely grateful for.

We've also had some wonderful opportunities to gain training and meet others in some stunning places - from the Eden Project with Eden Project Communities (and the tropical biome at night) to some residential expeditions, wild swims and solstice dances through the SSE in Dartington & the South West Accelerator Programme. A lovely trip at Farms for City Children

So, have a good look at what we have been up to, and how a moment in time planting apple trees with our toddlers evolved into an extraordinary chapter. We are launching a new campaign to unite community wildlife efforts across the District. Introducing .

This campaign will help you to host a community bioblitz, participate in , make space for new and restored habitats and enable you to be joined up to others across Mid Devon. In addition, the Mid Devon Wildlife Wardens & Junior Wardens Scheme will be there to motivate and encourage you and celebrate your efforts through events, training, resources and the all important WILD MID DEVON LEADERBOARD!!

Open to ALL, including schools, churches, towns, villages, farms and businesses, we would love for you to get involved as champions for nature in your parish community and create meaningful change for wildlife where you are across the District! Let's work together and
