CORONAVIRUS UPDATE & POLICY

The Duchy Gas Team Ltd continues to follow the developing circumstances and government advice around the spread of coronavirus.

As such, we are being more than meticulous in our approach to contact with customers and the surfaces in their homes. As a customer of The Duchy Gas Team Ltd during the Covid-19 crisis you can expect our engineers to:

✅ Wash their hands regularly and thoroughly before, during and after the visit.
✅ Wear respirator masks at all times during the visit
✅ Wipe down the surfaces worked on and surfaces surrounding them with an anti-bacterial agent of more than 60% alcohol
✅ Refrain from all bodily contact with customers

The Duchy Gas Team are a busy family run business, operating for over 4 years and seeking a reliable gas engineer on a contract basis.

We have a very high demand of work, therefore we need to expand our team to be able to meet these requirements

Successful candidate will live within the Truro area or nearby areas

As a Domestic Gas Engineer you will travel around Truro and surrounding areas and will be completing Jobs as required. All jobs are pre-planned and sent via an electronic system.

Essential Qualifications
Applicants must have
Natural Gas
CCN1, CEN1, WAT1 or CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1
Plumbing skills
Must have Full Driving Licence

Desirable qualifications
Unvented
LPG
Oil
Part P

Key Skills:
• Must be hardworking, reliable and flexible
• Must be able to work well as part of a team
• Must have strong communication skills
• Good personal presentation essential

Job Type: Full-time
Must have own van and tools.
Must have 5 million public liability.
No weekend work.

Dax is highly efficient,friendly and takes a pride in his work.
He always answered calls (unusual for many services!!!) giving sound advice.His rates are very reasonable.

Report Review You wont get better or cheaper then this firm and Dax is such a friendly and caring guy,would't give up on the problems i had with this job, flushing and other bits.9 1/2, hours and as far as i'm concerned he undercharged me. I just can't praise him and his work enough.I'll never get anyone else in to do my heating.
Thanks Dax and lots of good luck to your wife.
PS Make him stop for something to eat,or he wont. lol

First port of call every time!!
Report Review I called The Duchy Gas Team when my boiler had suddenly stopped working. They turned up within 2 hours, fixed it within 20 mins, and gave advice with what to do if it happens again. Such a lovely engineer - if only all all tradesman could be like this. Will be the first people I call should anything go wrong again. Highly recommend!!!

Brilliant service
Report Review A chance meeting at the plumber's merchant led us to Dax, who couldn't have been more helpful in dealing with our boiler/flue problem. He took charge of the situation, kept us well-informed, and did the job as planned for a very reasonable price, and was clean and careful in his work. We would wholeheartedly recommend his firm.

First class service!
Report Review When our aged boiler decided enough was enough and conked out, I had to get a repair/replacement quickly. Searching for a company that was fairly local, established and with confirmed as 'Gas Safe' registered, I came across Duchy. I was very impressed with their engineer (Dax) who came round the day after I called and discussed replacement. Dax and his colleague Deon did a fantastic job of fitting the boiler, removing my old one and replacing some of the pipework that was needed . They were very punctual, polite, clean and tidy in their work. The house was left clean and tidy after installation and they also took me through how the new boiler worked and an overview of how to operate the controller/timer.
Jade at the office has also been very helpful with my additional queries and I will certainly be using Duchy for subsequent servicing/repairs if needed. I have no hesitation in recommending Duchy and their team - first class, thanks guys!

Complete new system install
Report Review We had a complete new system supplied & fitted by The Duchy Gas Team at a very affordable price.
Workmanship was outstanding,
Engineer was polite, knowledgable and extremely helpful (he even cleaned up after the other tradesmen left a mess) totally above & beyond expectation.
We will definitely be having them back
for our yearly service & would recommend them to anyone in need of a reliable, efficient & trustworthy company.

Report Review Would totally agree with the other review, had our boiler serviced today and was really satisfied with the service we got, their rates are very competitive and I thought this might have shown in their work or finding problems with the boiler ! But no such thing the young engineer was very polite and did a first class job, no faults found, I know who I'll be ringing in the future for my annual service or any repairs.
