Last year we ran a small trial drinks and seating provision in Murray Park, and the community response was amazing — over 500 people signed in support. Thank you.

Councillors have now asked for it to be submitted through the official London Borough of Richmond upon Thames website so it can be formally considered.

Because it’s on the council platform, previous signatures can’t be transferred — so even if you signed before, we kindly need you to sign again using the link below.

We’re asking for a safe, well-managed and permanent drinks/light food provision in the park — somewhere for families, neighbours and older residents to sit and connect.

💛 Please support our Murray Park community petition 💛

Over the past year it’s been really special to see people gather in Murray Park — families watching weekend football, dog walkers stopping for a chat, elderly residents enjoying a coffee, and even neighbours celebrating birthdays together.

As a local resident and mum, I helped run a trial drinks, food and seating provision in the park because it was something I felt was genuinely missing. The response from the community was overwhelming, and so many people continue to ask when it will return.

We’re now asking the council to consider a safe, inclusive and more permanent drinks, light food and seating provision at Murray Park, similar to arrangements already in place at other local parks.

Unfortunately Heathfield won’t be opened this week due to our driver having surgery.
However Murray park will be open 🚛

For those asking why, the original little green truck requires a driver, unlike the little green truck in Murray which is easily towed.
