🔨 National Tradesmen Day Project Spotlight

This National Tradesmen Day, we're shining a spotlight on Code Coventry, a major student accommodation development that is reaching completion this autumn after nearly 18 months on site.

Delivered in partnership with Blaby Electrical and WM Building Services, the project has seen the creation of more than 400 apartments, with electrical works spanning everything from containment and first fix through to second fix installations, panel boards, heating and ducting, to final commissioning.

As work on the project draws to a close, we'd like to thank every electrician, engineer, installer, and tradesperson involved for their hard work, expertise and dedication in bringing this development to life.

A special thank you also goes to our supplier partners, whose products and support helped make the project possible:

⛳️ Last week, we were proud to support the annual Charity Golf Day at Kingswood Golf Club, in aid of The Grace Dear Trust, a charity very close to our hearts. We are always honoured to be part of such a special event.

💡 Introducing our new Project Lighting Director – Dave Holley💡

We are pleased to announce the launch of our new Lighting Solutions service and welcome Dave Holley to BEW as our Project Lighting Director.

With 27 years of experience in the lighting industry, Dave brings a wealth of knowledge, expertise, and project experience to the business. Having built a successful career delivering lighting solutions and supporting customers across a wide range of sectors, he is perfectly placed to lead this exciting new venture.

Dave will develop and lead BEW Lighting Solutions, providing dedicated support from initial design and specification through to project delivery. His appointment marks an important step in strengthening BEW's specialist service offering and enhancing the support we provide to our customers.

Whether it's a small upgrade or a large-scale project, BEW Lighting Solutions will offer expert lighting design, technical guidance and access to leading manufacturers to help deliver successful outcomes.

We're excited to have Dave on board and look forward to growing BEW Lighting Solutions under his leadership. As part of this growth, we're also looking for a Senior Lighting Design Engineer to join the team. If you're passionate about lighting design, enjoy solving technical challenges and want to make a real impact within a growing business, we'd love to hear from you

In 1983, the original Balham Electrical Wholesalers opened its doors at 67 Balham High Road, marking the beginning of an incredible journey.

From that first branch in South London to the vibrant business we know today, it's amazing to look back at our roots and see just how far we’ve come.

We’re incredibly proud to share that Jack has successfully completed his apprenticeship, achieving a Distinction in his Level 2 Trade Supplier qualification! 👏
