Last week I had the pleasure of working as one of four sports therapist’s and pitch side first aiders at the ICC Men’s World Cup Southern Region Qualifier in Guernsey.

What an experience it was! Concussions, dislocations, fractures and even bee stings…..it was such an enjoyable international tournament to be part of. With plenty of post match deep tissue massages as well- the event definitely kept me busy.

But what was most rewarding was applying
my 18 years of lecturing, training, and teaching experience into a face paced, real life setting.

We musn’t forget the importance of the application of skills outside of the classroom and this is definitely something I’m ready to emphasise further in my new role at The Guernsey Institute.
