Maintaining your buildings electrics should never be overlooked.

Our engineer was carrying out a 5 year electrical saftey check this week and found that someone had replaced the fuse wire with a peice of copper cable!

The fuse protects your system from overload which is the most common cause of electrical fires.
The irony here is that one of these fuses was for the fire alarm system!

Our engineer made the system safe before leaving and we are now working with the owners to rectify the other issues found.

Never overload an extension lead by plugging in appliances that together will exceed the maximum current rating stated for the extension lead. This could cause the plug in the wall socket to overheat and possibly cause a fire.
