When a coastline is threatened by huge waves, the answer to prevent yourself being inundated is to put up defences – you cannot stop the waves from coming, but you can dissipate their energy.

It is a tactic that can be applied to dealing with AI grievances too. Because across the country there are reports of a tidal wave of AI-drafted grievances inundating businesses.

You have to manage them whether they are erroneous or not – because sticking your head in the sand and letting them wash over you could well lead to a penalty at a tribunal for procedural errors regardless of the justification for the grievance. A huge thank you to the team at Mercure Newport Hotel for coming to our rescue at such short notice this morning! 🙌

Due to an unexpected emergency at our usual venue, our members and guests arrived to find we were without a meeting space.

Thankfully, committee member and professional problem-solver Kath from Green Apple Catering got straight on the case. Within 10 minutes of contacting the Mercure, they had a meeting room ready for us, coffee waiting on arrival and a delicious breakfast lined up afterwards. ☕🙏

We’re so grateful to the Mercure team for their incredible service and for making everything happen at the drop of a hat, and to Kath and the committee for making sure the meeting could still go ahead. It ended up being a fantastic meeting & morning, so well done all!
