🚨A Reminder to Choose Your Builder Carefull🚨
After spending several days working on one of our recent projects, we uncovered some serious issues with structural beam installations carried out by previous builders.
The homeowner had originally been assured that everything was safe and completed correctly. However, after carrying out our own inspection, we identified concerns that required immediate attention. We consulted one of our trusted Building Inspectors and took action straight away to ensure the property was made safe.
Unfortunately, this is not an isolated case.
Too often, homeowners are tempted by the cheapest quote or decide to use a friend or family member for specialist building work. While this doesn't always lead to problems, it can sometimes result in work that falls below the required standards.
Common reasons include:
✔️ Insufficient budget to complete the job properly
✔️ Lack of knowledge or experience
✔️ Poor workmanship and cutting corners
When structural work is not carried out correctly, the consequences can be severe. It's not just about the financial cost of repairs—it can put both the occupants and the tradespeople involved at risk.
Always make sure your builder is qualified, experienced, and willing to carry out the work to the correct standards. A cheaper quote today can become a much more expensive problem tomorrow.
Quality workmanship isn't an expense—it's an investment in safety.
