If you’ve got an energy bill that doesn’t make sense, a problem with your supplier, a complaint that’s going nowhere or just something you’re unsure about, bring it along and we’ll try to help.

There’s no charge and no appointment needed. Just drop in, have a brew and we’ll talk it through.

Utiliplus only arranges business energy contracts, not household ones, so there’s nothing for us to sell you… we just want to extend our expertise to those in the community who need it.

Hey everyone 👋

I’ve been sitting on this idea for far too long, so I’m excited to finally get it going…

Introducing The Energy Drop-In ⚡️☕️

Over the past few years I’ve had more and more local people get in touch with me for help with their energy, usually problems with bills or suppliers not acting right (when do they ever!).

Although we only arrange business energy contracts, I’ve decided it’s about time I shared some of that expertise with people in the local community who need it too.

It could be the young adult who’s moved out for the first time, hasn’t set their energy up correctly and gets hit with a massive bill. We’ve probably all been there!

The stressed parent balancing 100 plates who knows something isn’t right, but doesn’t know how to fix it.

The grandma who wants to check she’s not been ripped off with a new deal agreed over the phone.

Or anyone who’s too busy to tackle an energy problem or doesn’t have the know-how to resolve it.

There’s no shame in that. If something goes wrong in my house, I call an electrician or plumber because I want someone who knows what they’re doing. Energy is no different.

Suppliers make things more difficult than they need to be. We deal with these problems every day, so it’s about time we put that experience to use in our own community.

Twice a month I’ll set aside a couple of hours in Urmston where anyone can drop in with an energy bill, supplier problem, complaint, or just something they’re unsure about.

We’ll talk it over with a brew and I’ll see if I can help ☕️

It’s completely free, no appointment needed and, as we don’t arrange household contracts, there’s no sales element to it at all.

The first Energy Drop-In will be later this month 🩵

I’ve got a brilliant local venue on board and I’ll announce the first date and location next week. 😍

It’s an absolute pleasure to now be working with JW.Buckley Ltd 💙👩‍🍳

After being introduced to us by a neighbouring business back in June, we’ve been able to:

The lowest rate does not always make the best energy contract.

Before we recommend an option, we look beyond the headline price.

Contract timing, total annual cost, supplier performance, contract terms and the future plans of the business can all affect which option is genuinely the right fit.

A recommendation should suit the business as a whole, not simply be the cheapest figure on a comparison sheet.

That is how we approach energy procurement at Utiliplus: independent advice, properly considered, with the detail checked before anything is signed.

We’re proud to work with Cucumber Recruitment 🥒

An initial review of the energy contracts across their offices allowed us to identify annual savings of £1,781, while also consolidating the meters with one supplier.

All Cucumber had to do was give us the green light to investigate their energy accounts. 🟢

We found the saving, presented the options and helped put the new contracts in place 🤝

Utiliplus has added Unify Energy to our supplier panel, giving us a more complete option for landlords, managing agents and multi-tenant sites.

We’ve been long-time customers and admirers of this brilliant local pub, so we’re really pleased to now be working together.

Most businesses only discover a problem with their energy contract when the bill suddenly jumps.

By that point, the contract has usually rolled out of term or renewed on rates that aren’t competitive anymore.

A few simple checks before renewal can make a big difference.
