🚨 WARNING: Solar Panel Scam 🚨

We’ve received a confirmed report of an active scam targeting homeowners in and around the Rochford District.

A man arrived at a property in a vehicle (reported as a Range Rover with an orange light on top), claiming there were serious faults with the home’s solar panels and roof membrane, and that the house was at risk of catching fire. He also falsely stated that the homeowner’s insurance would be invalid and even threatened that neighbouring properties could be affected.

The individual wore an official-looking lanyard and attempted to create urgency and fear to pressure the homeowner into taking action.

When challenged and asked for verification, he quickly left the scene.

The incident has been reported and checked with the Fire Brigade and Police, who have confirmed:

* The individual has no authority
* This is a known scam tactic

⚠️ Key Advice:

* Do not trust unsolicited callers claiming urgent safety issues
* Do not agree to inspections or work on the spot
* Always verify credentials independently
* If in doubt, contact your local authorities directly

⚠️ Fraudulent Activity Warning

Once again, our good reputation is being misused by fraudsters.

We have been made aware of an individual operating under the name John Morgan, claiming to be a lawyer and using the telephone number 07983 523970. The image associated with his WhatsApp profile is that of a Danish politician—not the person in question.

This individual claims to represent a company called Veritas Solicitors and Lawyers / VSL Consult Ltd (neither of which exist) and alleges to “specialize in providing legal assistance to individuals who have fallen victim to various types of fraud, including trading scams, investment fraud, job scams, and online dating scams.”

The fraudulent website www.vslconsult.com has now been taken down.

Please note that this person has been unlawfully using our company’s details and registered address to appear legitimate.
We want to make it absolutely clear that we are not connected in any way with this individual or any related fraudulent activity.

We remain committed to protecting the public and our clients, and we will continue to take action against those who misuse our name or reputation.

If you have been contacted by this individual or suspect similar fraudulent activity, please report it to Action Fraud or your local law enforcement authority immediately.

Scam callers alert! 🚨

We have been advised today that scammers are using our trusted name, and providing our registered company address details when cold calling elderly, vulnerable victims.

They are telling people that they can get them a tax rebate. Fortunately, this particular gentleman victim contacted our registered office to check if it was a scam. He didn’t provide any bank details, but seems he had been asked for these!

Please never provide bank details over the phone, unless you are confident that you are paying for a product or services that you have requested yourself.

If in any doubt, hang up and check with a family member or trusted friend 🙏🏻
